I'll tell you something, I'm 62 and I've been watching your videos for some time now. I recently bought myself my first rc plane, my 14 year old son and I have the most awesome time flying that silly thing around. We've crashed it and repaired it, but that's part of it. Thank you for inspiring me to get into the rc hobby, it has brought me and my son the greatest of joys.
Excellent video again. People may not mention it as much as they should, so thank you for the small tips. Like burning with the center of the lighter and not the orange flame end, to prevent soot build up on the wire. Thanks. :)
I 100% would never got a crawler without watching your videos, it used to be all about how big and fast my RCs where and yeah that was enjoyable but no where near as much as the detail and variations u can get with crawlers, opened up a whole new side of RC I had never even considered and I enjoy it more than any other type of RC
U guys r gonna have a blast, I know Sluice is pumped we were talking about the TTC yesterday, like I told him I wish I could be there n having a great time creating memories with my RC Family
How do people click the dislike button on these great videos? You produce AMAZING work that got me into the hobby and will keep me in the hobby for the rest of my life. Thanks for that. I guess there are people out there that are very negative and somehow do not like the way you inspire people like me to keep the hobby alive. I'll always be with you on this channel.
I’ve been on my local walking trail and had people stop and stare as I drive my truck on my. There seems to be a mix of people that are amazed by the extent of the hobby and people that have to try to make you feel bad about being in the hobby. I was talking to a guy I go to High School with a couple weeks ago and he thought RC was stupid. To each is own, but don’t bash the hobby until you have given it a fair shot. The scale truck movement has really taken off in the last few years, and I’m excited for the new technology and new enthusiasts that will be coming along for the ride! You are the reason I got into scale stuff last year, so thank you for helping me go broke!!!
Look'n good bro! Twin brushless WOW! What a way to bring it! Cant wait ti see the family in action. Best of luck brother! Cheers for a hopefully pain free weekend! Right On!
I have also been watching for a while. RU-vid Gold, Loading Wars and any of your shows that you post. I have a large scale MOA that I is going to very well get newer motors and esc's. You have given great ideas and inspiration to your fellow rc followers. As always, great shows and info. Thanks again.
Thems some good lookin rigs sittin there. Cant wait to see the ttc vid(s) for this year, always a fun event. Goina b so awesome this year to see how well moe does. I think he can outdrive alot of the guys there this year lol.
I've been soldering professionally for 19 years and we use Hako irons (932) and also Weller (witch is my new go to iron, it holds the heat much better and heats up from cold start in a few seconds). I've always had my iron set to 800 to 850 for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. As long as you keep solder on the tip during stand by, the tip will last for a few months. Pro Tip: If you learn how to wrap the solder around your index finger to feed it in, you can use your middle finger and thumb to hold the wire in place. This comes in handy when soldering 2 wires together.
You should have seen me trying to do the loom on my trailer a few weeks back. I got $5aud that says my neighbor's filmed me doing said wiring, then played it back at x3 speed with Benny hill music inserted for good measure.
Great video also great conversation....love how far tjerc world has come in so many ....I myself an a few friends got a rc bouncer series going for New England
I feel ya on the missing parts, I'm missing an M2.5x8 screw for my Blazer body. RC4WD only gives you two and all you need is two, unless you loose one...
Medic thank you for the many years of information entertainment and encouragement I finally bought my first trail truck 2 days ago the SCX24 but I'm looking forward to progressing quickly to 1/10 scale. I just need to get on a trail hopefully this weekend. Already did mods on it and looking for upgrades.
Four wheel steering is one of those things you don't know how great it is, until you have it. I don't have that fancy of a radio so mine just is front steer or four wheel steer.
Hey Medic another great video! I really like seeing the down to nuts and bolts videos. They have helped me out quite a few times. I think that its better seeing it than just trying to read a schematic or directions of some sort. I love the build/repair part of the hobby, almost as much as going bashing haha. Keep up the great video content. Always looking forward to the next RCSparks episode.
i've watched you since the beginning and you are one of the best youtubers i have ever seen. Your quality of videos and your passion for the RC hobby and the community feel makes me feel like i'm at the TTC with you guys. Love the videos always look forward to your uploads !
Hey man. Check your local hydroponics grow store for small spray nozzles that fit into PVC. You seem to have a need for them in some of your other projects. Love your videos!
I would insulate the wires on the ESC. If a screw, a tool, a body clip or something else falls on those connectors then you could have a problem. I would use T-7000 or PlastiDip or similar, then you can easily remove it. Or solder the wire in a straight angle and use shrink tube.
I think some people wouldbe surprised to see how long gears can last with no lubricant at all. Especially in an application like this where the will see relatively low use and are of high quality. Dry lube or no lube is definitely better than something that will attract grit. I live in Florida and my truck that frequently sees mud gets nothing on the r&p. I clean them frequently and they do fine.
Very nice upgrade to "TANGO". One day I will upgrade my Clod Crawler with some Brushless Powerhouses and incorporate the individual axle control as well.. #RCSPARKS #YTG2019
Aaron, PLEASE feel free to tell stories while doing mundane stuff. I listened when you talked about your first trailing event. I know how to sawl-der (Huh?) sawder! and change motors & this that & the other but I watched anyway because it's always interesting to listen to someone who's experienced tell good stories.
I wanted to make it up this year, but the crawler group that myself and a few friends run, outlaw crawlerz. Is going to be a part of a car show on saturday and then on sunday there is a ttc for another local group down in idaho. Next year for sure though!!
Very nice rig! Thanks for sharing! At 3:20 you mentioned that when mud and rocks get into the gear housing the marine grease collects it... (1) Where is the application of silicone for sealing out all chances of contaminates “getting in here”? Seems like an easy solution regardless of how you are lubricating the gears if silicone doesn’t work then there’s a major design flaw! Why have “element free” anything if your diffs can’t handle a little element(s) too? (2) If I couldn’t fit the HD motors in to the current space then why not make the links wider, nothing really says you have to have the bends in the links, spread out the attachment point at the frame, protect if needed or re-design the linkage all together for how the axles articulate with the frame? Just thinking outside the box ...
I absolutely love that beast! No, I meant Tango, not you Medic! 🙄 Now I reckon all clubs or groups should be buying up the cheapo RTR 4 wheel steer MOA crawlers and have comps with them. Shouldn't be a prob for a club to get half a dozen as club trucks to begin with. Then members can join the comps and newbies can have a go. I recently bought a 4 wheel steer MOA crawler for £109 all in! Sure it's deffo cheap and toy grade in some ways if you want to call it that, but deffo has the bells and whistles, apart from twin esc, just all in plastic. It's major fun inside and outside the house. You can get them for £99 or $119 online, RTR, so it comes with radio, Li-ion 2 cell battery and USB charger. In the UK mine is called the FTX Ravine and in the US I believe it's called the Danchee Ridgerock. These things are cheap as chips and as far as I can tell the stores are also stocking up with a fair amount of spare parts for them too. wheelspinmodels.co.uk/i/310051/ www.redcatracing.com/RidgeRock
