It's not hard for Daliyah Arana to find the appetite to read. At only 4 years old, the small-town Georgia girl has read more than 1,000 books. DeMarco Morgan reports from Gainesville, Georgia.
My 4 year old has been reading since he was 2. My 5 year old is now reading at a 2nd Grade level. What worked for us was no TV and no screentime. We value reading and education. They saw us reading and writing all the time so that's what they wanted to do. They want to be like you. If you want them to read, that's what they need to see you doing most of the time.
That's awesome!! My baby boy is 18 months and he likes to play only with alphabets and listen to storybooks!! I would like to note that as an author I've just published a new storybook for children for FREE until Sunday Nov 8, 2020 as an eBook on amazon.. here's the link anyone can download and read.. Hi, I’d like some advice. I have a 4 year old and 2 year old. I love books, we read every night together. But we are not there yet. How did you teach your children to read and how do you avoid screen time in the day at home?
Great job Daliyah! I had never heard of the 1000 books program until I saw this, but it motivated me to enroll my 3-year-old daughter in the program. So excited to embark on the 1000 book challenge with my daughter. Daliyah, you are an inspiring young lady... Keep up the great work!
Cyph3r _ I grew up with IPhones and a Nintendo but I made it a balance - I still loved to read and I would go to the library at least once every two weeks and check out a bunch of books to read. Goosebumps and Geronimo Stilton were my favorites:)
Convecture AGREED! Many only care about games, sports, and relationships and discard the important aspects of literature and advancing ones knowledge and intellectual capabilities. So If I could like this a thousand times I would 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
It would be appreciated if more parents would teach their kids to read at an early age. Teaching them numbers at early age would be much appreciated as well. It'll make their early days at school much easier and they'll grow smarter much faster.
She is impressive, god bless her! I had to inscribe my child into a special program... I thought he had some remarkable difficulties at reading, but thank god TCR program readkey(.)club help us a lot. Now David reads like a champ!
BeingMotherTeresa on youtube son has been reading,. Hes been reading since 39 months, He knows the 50 states and more. He is now 4 years old. He can multiply too. I salute moms like her and this little girls mom too.
How does one person read one book at a time s=no read 1000 books a year I’m 41 year old and I read 48 books a year, right now I can read. 80 pages some days and 220 pages a day that’s between 2 chapters or more and 20 chapters a day depending on size of chapters, and I’m buying books faster than I’m reading them, and I need to read faster and get throught more books because I’m useually allways buying them. Books I mean.
I have two cousins. One is like this just minus 1,000 books. She loves and reads well. My other cousin well I blame it on my specific family member. They never read books or anything else. He's 4 going on 5 and still talks like he's just about 2. She has 3 boys. The two that are from her are 4 and 7 and have pretty bad speech just playing games a lot. The one boy that is a step son to her who is 9 have been speaking & doing things fine since he was like 2,3 years old. I don't get it
Did someone else started singing while she was reading we hold this truths to be self evident that all men are created equal and when I meet Thomas Jefferson I'ma compel him to include women in the sequel, work! 😂😂😂
This video doesn't mean anything to parents in america because their kids are way to busy wasting their childhood and life playing fortnite and video games, the 4 year old girl already knows what she wants to do with her life, how many of your 4 year olds know what they want to do with their life, and it's sad because the way that little girl is,all of our kids can be that but to be honest a lot of parents are lazy, weak, and scared.this is just what I witnessed growing up in the world
Congratulations considering the non phonetical mess that English language is. Mine learned to read at 4.5 years old. But it's much more phonetically consistent.
That's really cool! My baby boy is 18 months he plays only with alphabet and he likes stories like nothing! I would like to note that as an author I've just published a new storybook for children for FREE until Sunday Nov 8, 2020 as an eBook on amazon.. here's the link anyone can download and read..
