I have one pawpaw seedling that came from a runner, and it's outgrowing the other seedlings by a wide margin. It's about up to my eyes and I planted it last spring.
Amazing growth for a 4 year old! Next year it should be busting out with fruit! I never did much with the root suckers in my little 11 year old pawpaw orchard but mowed them and dug a few up and gave them away. But i should try my hand in grafting now. Thanks for the advice and I am now subscribed.
WOW! The success you've had makes me want to do the same. I've got the root suckers separated from the mother, next spring I plan to put them in rootmaker pots. Thanks for another great video.
I've got a 4yo one that is about breast height that was planted as a 1y seedling. Very impressive growth. Makes me think more of mulberry or something rather than pawpaw at that size and age
@@pawpawchronicles-n-morewit1210 do you have any knowledge on growing them from seed? Short question is. If I planted two seeds from the same fruit, and both those seeds matured, would the trees of the two separate seeds be able to cross pollinate?
