Hi Misty.... Bless you for helping so many people ❤ I am not a WLS patient but I have been the victim of poor healthcare procedures in the past, and so can empathise with those who find themselves with problems/complications, but who sadly are without support from their practitioners ..... keep up the good work! x
Did you go back to normal anatomy or gastric sleeve? Gastric sleeve has been proven to fix gastroparesis and hypoglycemia. I had one due to vagus nerve damage from surgery and it it fixed my stomach motility and small intestine motility. Hopefully you find relief!
I didn’t want a sleeve just a reversal. My hypoglycemia is stable and controlled just through diet now. My gastroparesis also is stable. I’m doing really well all good labs, no more Anemia, or dumping.
I have hyperglycemia because of my bypass I started having low sugar levels 11 months after my bypass. I'm thinking about having a reversal because of having low sugar levels. I never had low sugar levels before my surgery. Do you a reversal is good to get because of low sugar levels. Hope you are feeling better. Great video
I had my original Roux-en-Y February 2000 I’ve suffered ever cents no need to go into detail you lift it. The learning hospital near me is now insisting on a reversal after all these years of praying and hoping for help it’s right ahead of me. Can you please tell me what to expect for aftercare? How long after your reversal did you start feeling any sense of being better? Thank you for your time
As far as aftercare, my doctor had no plan. So what I did I started slowly on liquids about a week later I moved to soft food and then another week later I incorporated chewy food. It’s pretty much the same as the other surgery as far as time off of work I was up walking right away and yes, I could tell a difference right out of my reversal. My blood sugars felt normal. The dumping was gone.
@@frankenbellymistytrask6666 Amazing! Just a thought that my blood sugars would be level is surreal….Thank you for taking the time to answer my question you are what I would consider a professional in this field I will follow your instructions as well as whatever the doctor might come up with. Which will probably be laughable
Can you recommend me to a surgeon who can reverse my gastric by pass surgery my life has been miserable since 2007 I died four times almost I fell septic shock three times I vomit all day and have dumping syndrome and chronic malnutrition can you please recommend me to a surgeon for the reversal thank you my name is Jennifer
Do you have to take vitamins and have high protein intake once it’s reverse? I having a few issues and considered getting it reversed if I have to take the vitamins daily and protein still reversing it back to my normal anatomy I don’t think it’s worth it?
I choose to take a multivitamin but that it is it. My labs are perfect now. No most people don’t have to take protein you can get that from food. I however live a high protein, sf, low carb diet and workout so for me I choose to still live a healthy lifestyle.
Hello, i had RNY gastric bypass on 6/18/18 have since then been in and out of the hospital due to complications. Chest pain, cant hold even water down, constant nausea, vomiting, just really poor quality of life. They then removed my gallbladder and we were all hoping that was the cause of all this discomfort and nausea.. ect . Well here i am back in the hospital, I am only 1 month post op but strongly considering a takedown. As my surgeon did mention to me this morning, how are you doing with food intake and ect since your takedown
Allieee Jayyy I do fine with most foods I can eat but stick to a low carb, sf, high protein diet. This keeps my hypoglycemia stable and the first year out was a little tough as I have gastroparesis from all the surgeries but now I’m much better. I eat every couple hours and small meals. I make sure to get plenty of fluids and take it day by day. I’m sorry for all your struggles and hope you will get the help you need.
Alliee, I am sorry to hear about complications. I have been having complications since my surgery as well. I have not been able to eat anything at all. Do you have to have a reversal or revision of your bypass?
had my surgery 11 yrs ago..past 4 yrs has been hell..i get some sort of reaction after meals..weak,burning skin sensation, shortness of breath, brain fog etc..whenever i do a prolong water fasting then only ill feel normal or better..thats how i know it hss to do with my food..would like to get my gastric bypass reversed but im also worried of Gastroparesis..did your doctor mentioned y or how u got it?
My name is Jennifer I had my surgery done on 2007 and I been having the same exact issues you had can you private chat me please on Facebook my life has been Miserable I thinking about doing the reversal I wanted to ask you for some advice thank you 😊
Sam Hussein no I’ll never be the same from the gastric bypass. But yes I’m better I can eat but I’m on a strict diet. I can eat and drink just fine just have to watch it because I have reactive hypoglycemia
I am looking for a reversal. I did the sleeve in 2014 and I have bad heart burns and bad stomach pain. My regular doctor is just giving me Nexium and Zantac. Tomorrow I am talking to a Bariatric doctor. I wake up every day vomiting. 😭😭
Nadia M I’m sorry for your pain that is a common complication from the sleeve. There is no reversal for the sleeve because they remove part of your stomach when getting the sleeve and throw it away. Most of the time they suggest a bypass which is what I had and that does not always work. I know lots of people who have had bypass and still have reflux plus get horrible ulcers and then need a reversal. The Dr say it’s the only fix but comes with a whole list of other issues and once you go bypass no going back since you’re already missing half your stomach. Wishing you the best and hoping you find something that helps.
