@@travelguy1564 From what I have gathered it’s about the quality of the collagen that the brand is using in their product. And a lot of them don’t even specifically say the source of the collagen, which leads you to wonder about the quality. Vital proteins seems to be one that has a lot of research backing their particular type of collagen.
I am 66, and like you have been taking collagen daily since about 2012, and started bone broth a couple times a week around 2017. My hair and nails have not improved at all. My nails are weak and thin. BUT, in 2010 I had a total knee replacement in my left knee and was told I was 60% to needing a right knee replacement. I was getting injections in my right knee to reduce pain, and had it drained once. I saw something about collagen on RU-vid and started taking it to see if it would make a difference. Over time the collagen decreased my knee pain and improved my knee functioning. I was blown away by the difference. I can run now. Also, I stopped taking it for about 6 months in 2021 and pain starting creeping back in, so I started taking it again and my knee health improved again. I don't know for sure, but my sense is that I won't have to have the right knee replaced. It feels that good.
At 72, I’ve been using Vital Proteins for the last year for the sake of my joints. However, I’ve noticed that my hair has gotten thicker. - Healthy (and vain) old white guy
@@jimivey6462 if more people would love themselves and take good care of themselves physically and mentally, the world would be a far better place 😊 Plus you gave me hope because I’m 49 thus I’ll enter menopause in a few years and my hair is super thin in its normal state already and I’m trying to find what could help (even just a little bit) …
I've been taking the Vital Proteins brand for about 6-7 months now. I've had vaginal atrophy as a result of menopause and I've noticed a big improvement in it! I started taking the collagen peptides to help heal from tummy tuck surgery and was pleasantly surprised to find that added benefit!
I don’t much about collagen but I’m interested in. The only noticeable difference for me is that after watching your 1 year update, I watched this video and you look much younger in this video!!
I bought a cosmetic ultrasound machine 8 years ago, the ultrasound stimulates the collagen cells in the skin and basically makes your skin cells start super-producing collagen. To help that process, I started taking a collagen supplement. No joke, my hip that had hurt every day for 10 years (I had an old running injury) finally healed! I have been pain free ever since, and my skin looks amazing too. Our ancestors ate collagen all the time. Our modern diet is missing it, so supplements are great to give our bodies our building blocks it needs to make all that connective tissue.
Wow! I think you look younger now than in the older clip! I'm just starting collagen for my face, neck, joints, hair and anything else it would like to help!😊
Our bodies naturally produces collagen, but as we age our collagen lessen, so it's helpful to take a collagen stimulate to help assist what are bodies are no longer producing...
I read some comments said they got no results with collagen peptides. It’s important to know that you need to take VITAMIN C along with collagen peptides to help collagen break down and absorb. The results varies from person to person. But two key factors you need to follow are: take vitamin c daily along with your collagen. Use sunscreen when you go outside. Get enough rest (6-8 hours a day).
Our ancestors did not have sunscreen back in the old days and the sun never harmed them. So it is my belief that we have been told so much that the sun is bad for us and causes cancer that we now actually lather our bodies with the very cancer causing stuff they want us to use...the sun screen. Skin cancer wasn't around until they told us to use sunscreen for our health. 🤔
Thank u! I am gonna order the blue one. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis / lots of joint pain. I’m 54 and feel my hair/skin could use some love too… your videos has been very informative. I appreciate you helping me. 🌸
I love taking my collagen peptitdes. I have taken the Alaya Naturals for over a year. It also contains Condroiton and Glucosamine and it has completely taken the arthritis in my finger. I love it. Thanks for this video!
Hi Ms. Divine! I am so Thankful that I ran across your video! I purchased Collagen Peptides months ago and started using it today! Today is March 30; my Paternal Grandmother's birthday! She was a Professor, Business owner, Community Teacher and Activist in Mound Bayou, MS! In honor of her pursuit for Great Health, I decided to live healthier!
I started taking collagen peptides for skin and hair, but then I learned that collagen production begins to decline at the age of 30 (i'm currently 29), so all in all, I'm glad to have started now. Definitely something I'm going to continue doing. Thank you for sharing your experience. C:
Me too. Here 27 and my skin looks stretched. Not firm at all but I don't remember it ever being firm . Maybe a little from age 13 to 16 but that's mostly it.
I’ve taken collagen powder for 2 years. It’s been good for me - no joint stiffness, strong hair and nails. I don’t know about skin - can’t tell on myself
i love VP because they LIST ALL THEIR INGREDIENTS OR NUTRIONAL CONTENTS ON THE PACKAGE COMPARE TO OTHER BRANDS.... VP IS THE QUEEN OF collagens... thanks for your video...
I've been taking it over a year. I started taking it after radiation and right before my last chemo. My hair is very thick. Thicker then before I was sick. I side effect was my nails fell off. My skin hair and nails look great. I never had joint issues so I can't comment. Oh I love the chocolate flavor
I'm a huge fan of Vital Proteins Collagen!!! Even three days into it I can tell the difference! Just wanted to share something that I do which I think makes a difference is taking a prenatal supplement along with the collagen. I cover all my bases that way! I'm a huge fan. it's completely changed my hair, nails, skin...joints. All the hype isn't hype, it's the truth!!!
If you don't mind how old are you? I am asking because I am a older woman and wonder if it would be beneficial for me to take the prenatal supplement .
@@diannasantos8533 If you have a doctor I would ask them. It's just a better version of a multi vitamin. Something that probably be good for most people as long as they weren't overdoing it adding a bunch of other things and that the vitamins didn't have weird fillers.
Hi I was taking collagen peptides for 3 months but I stopped for 1 month because I couldn't afford it during that month I noticed a significant difference in my skin! It was dull and look bad so I bought a new bottle and within 2 weeks my skin started looking better!
@@gh-xv1ch Yeah that totally sucks, that means you have to depend on a product in order to maintain the health results 😞 But our bodies produce our own supply of it, and there are many other natural things to do to keep the collagen production optimal. If you don't mind me asking, do y'all on a regular basis eat simple carbs and foods with added sugar? Because sugar/simple carbs are a collagen killer. So removing or greatly reducing those things for your diets should be a huge help.
I brew organic coffee & refrigerate it. On cold days, I mix 2 parts coffee with one part grass-fed whole milk (café au lait) in a handled mason jar, heat it in the microwave 2 min 15 sec, add 1 scoop collagen peptides and 1 tsp organic maple syrup, shake, pour & drink. On hot days, I mix coffee, milk, maple syrup, & collagen peptides, shake jar several seconds, put in freezer for 30 - 35 minutes, shake vigorously and pour (Frappuccino). YUM 😋
I took both the Sports Research and Vital Proteins. I find Vital Proteins brand works better plus the vitamin c is already included. I glow with Vital Protein
Hi! Watching this first time , I am in Saudi Arabia and this is informative!!! Thank you so much, I didn't know that Vit.C is good with collagen and also for joints.Really appreciate your video , and you explain so nice.May GOD bless you. Love you my sister.
Sis, have you had any procedures done during this four years? Like are there beauty techniques you recommend and use in hand with the collagen, like fillers and Botox? And those are your natural nails? You are stunning and aging backwards. Love to see it
Thank you for the compliments🤗 I haven’t had any surgeries. No Botox. I have a great night time routine and I drink a lot of water and I do light workouts 3 or 4 times a week 🥰
Thank you for the video on your experience. I have been watching a lot of your videos. I just starting taking it in power form, because I know collagen is central in the regulation of the healing process of injuries .They are necessary to drive the process of tissue function, growth, and repair. In my case where I have extensive injuries from being hit and ranger by a van, loading on it is essential to help reduce inflammation. Which in turn destroys my existing collagen and keeps my body in a non healing state. So, I am trying using this on a therapeutic level and see how I feel after 6 months. I was eating my homemade bone broth weekly for a few years, but I need so much more. One week of loading, less insomnia, a little stronger, less systemic inflammation, more satiety, improved circulation, less intense migraines, less anxiety and more calm. I do not expect to see any skin, nail, and hair (external improvements) just yet, because I was blessed to walk away from the accident alive! My body needs extensive healing. PS. I tried the Sports Research, but it made my stomach hurt. So now using Vital Protein - easy on the stomach and mixes well with water I sip in the morning.
First off thank you for sharing your story with me. I’m so happy you have survived and are in the healing process. And thank you for watching my videos😊 please come back and let me know how you are doing even if your not taking collagen.🥰
I have been taking NativePath collagen for about a year! Love the product. It’s taken a while because I’m diabetic. But feeling remarkably better! ✌️❤️
Hi🤸🏽♀️ around the end of 20 or the beginning of 21 (can't remember) started off with the SR collagen(1 scoop daily), and funny thing is it was because of your video LOL 😊and I loved SR product,(Amazon) and did see a significant difference when I stopped taking it. And about 2 months ago caught a great sale from Sam's where I for the first time actually purchased the vital proteins collagen. I had been hearing and seeing so many videos about. The sale was so good I got two containers, and I take one scoop every day mostly in coffee and have had it in tea and shakes as well. I am happy so far with this product and it was definitely more economical at the time. I look forward to your updated video 💪🏾🌹❤️
I love my Vital Protine my knee problems os swelling has been gone since I started taking it. I now also take L-Glutamine now because I had strained my left shoulder, this stuff is amazing. Put the 2 together and wow what a combination.
Do not use vital proteins. Vital proteins is a Monsanto owned product. They were actually brought to court because the product contained heavy heavy metals. Though it did not win in court to take it off the shelves. Please choose another company that is organic and reputable.
Hydrolyzed collagen is the best version of this supplement to take. If your looking to save a buck or two I would suggest investing some Knox gelatin or any off brand gelatin. And like this young lady said take these supplements with vitamin C.
I noticed a difference in my joints in about 24 hours!! As easy as it is to prepare and consume, I need to be consistent. if I stop consuming it I will notice a difference in about 3 days. I used a different brand, but it does work and from what I have seen on youtube, everyone has different results. Some people will notice a difference in 2 weeks, others notice a difference in less time. That's my $0.02.
Me too! And I didn't realize until a few days later when I missed not feeling that lower back pain and a weird pain I've been feeling in of my hands. One thing tho, with the collagen I also started taking glucosamine msm. That was the only change I did, and 24 hours later the pain was gone.
@@cynthiacastro1134 I infuse cocnut oil with Arnica and Comfrey for aches, sprains, and other annoying pains. Then I pour about 14 - 15 ounces into a sauce pan, warm it, and put about 1 1/4 ounce of bees wax and make sure the wax is completely disolved and keep warm for 3 - 5 minutes. Then I pour the oil into small tins and allow to cool over night; the results are tins of salve that you can store and with good tight lid you can carry in your pocket or first aid kit. You need about 6 -8 depending on the ounce size per tin. I keep a bunch on hand because I make other salves, such as one for cuts, bug bites, and abrassions. I make another for skin imperfections, such as stretch marks, dry skin, and making skin supple.
It’s true that you have to be healthy to take collagen peptides. Those who have cancer will accelerate the cancer cell growth if they take collagen. Get yourself screened first for any cancer, before jumping into this regimen.
What does collagen do in cancer cells? The study finds that collagen works in the tumor microenvironment to stop the production of immune signals, called chemokines, that lead to suppression of the anti-tumor immune response. When collagen is lost, chemokine levels increase, and the cancer is allowed to grow more rapidly.Mar 4, 2021
It’s great to always compare and research. Seems like your old brand is better than vitals though. My favorite is Ancient Nutrition because it has all 5 types of Collagen in it plus the Vitamin C mix necessary for absorption. Price point is solid. Manufacturing is solid. Great in hot or cold beverages. Grams per scoop is 10 which seems to be the usual. Scoop size is small. I’m 55 and my arthritis is now completely gone. Collagen is a real game changer.
The serving sizes are different! The Vital Proteins one requires 2 scoops to get to the 20 grams. It only offers 28 servings in the 20 ounce container. The other one you were using requires only 1 scoop and contains 41 servings in its 16 ounce container. If you like the new one's effects better, I bet it's because of the Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C. You're getting a little less collagen if you're only doing 1 scoop still.
I have been taking vital protein for 2years I'm 71 I like putting it in my smoothies but I only use 1scoop my nails have became strong I like how I feel I'm happy with growing of my hair. I wait till the vital goes on sale at costco and get two 24 oz so I won't run out.
If you took two scoops of Sport Research collagen,it would be the same amount of collagen as Vital Protein collagen,I'm not sure you need that much collagen. It also says on the back of the label of Sport Research that it is Paleo and Keto friendly, also gluten free and non-gmo.Great video!
I think your reviews and results are better than most dieticians! Thanks Soo much. 😘❤️ I also take Vital Protiens, isn't it 2 scoops to get the 20 grams?
I've been using collagen, their one from vitals proteins is for the bones. Very good. I feel better now, my skin, hair, hips. Do some investigation is very important
I was taking Vital Proteins collagen but got sketched out at the disclaimer on the safety seal. Is anyone else worried about over exposure to heavy metals through daily collagen use? Vital Proteins hasn’t published a heavy metal lab tear on their website. 😟
I’m glad I watched this. My wife purchased the black van one and we’ve been using it. I also bought the white cam for keto at sams a while back. I could tell the black one tasted like it had more to it. I will go check out the sams to see if they have a plain vital because I’m trying to avoid sugar.
Just found you!!!Thanks for the thorough reviews. Is a comparison update available yet? I've had great experience from collagen in the past and I'm back on it with MSM, Multi-vitamins and ACV.... 52 and feeling great. Liked and Subscribed.💙
one serving of Vital Proteins collagen is 2 scoops, not one. So the comparison isn't quite accurate. I've been taking the Vital Proteins product for years, but usually just take one scoop.
Exactly - Vital Proteins can be misleading in their marketing! When you take a closer look at the directions, you see that two scoops are needed to get the 20 grams of collagen. Sports Research is my number one pick. I also like the Garden of Life brand.
I have started using peptides in 12/21 looking at your video. It took me a minute, so I took the plunge because, my nails would have a piece gone, and to tighten my skin from within. Since this time, my nails no longer have chips and pieces. I am closely checking my skin for tighten. I started with the GV brand in black container. I'm now using Orgain peptides. I like to see a video on how your hair has thicken using this product. I haven't noticed any real results on my hair.
That Sport Nutrition brand is obviously stacking other things in there for it to be just 11g of collagen to be a bigger scoop. How much protein and other macros are in the Vital Protein? It's important to note, how much grams per scoop and look at the macros to see how it adds up.
Taken about a month, no improvement on hair skin or nails yet, but knee does feel better and shock the pains I get when I eat oi have pains in my small intestin and. Then. The large .now the pain is minimal, but the diarrea is still there
@@sharonwright-greene3283 yes mam i order from there web site and the have another great one you might look into its vital proteins professional it has Verisol and it is one of the best to me .

@@selecttravelvacations7472 Even too much water can be toxic. Copper can be safely taken when in the correct amounts. Most people are deficient in copper who have varicose veins, premature graying, sagging and loose skin, GERD, acid reflux and other digestive issues, connective tissue disorders, anemias and a host of other issues dealing with energy, including taking too much zinc.
But take copper with zinc and selenium as they synergically work better all together. When you take copper on its own it lowers zinc in the body and the zinc on its own does the same for the copper in body. And do not mix zinc with vit c as they neutrolize eachothers effect.
I take marine collagen. Its my first time I use this stuff. The brand I got is weight world. The dose is 2 capsules a day. Each serving is 1.17 g which later I learned its below the recommended daily dose. But now I have been watching you tube I many boast about vital protein collagen so I am stopping over.
The best collagen peptide is to buy marine collagen which comes from fish. My skin is glowing, I look so young ( I am end 20s) My joints don't hurt. I have to admit I also go to the gym 5 days a week and walk a lot, drink a lot of water. So I am doing a holistic approach. I have been using it for 6 months and I love it.
