The elk are already dropping there? They don't drop for at least another month here. Me and a couple friends are planning a shed hunting trip out there sometime and don't rlly know where to go or anything, if you wanna give us some tips we'd rlly appreciate it. If not I respect that too
Haha no last years trip! We usually don’t start looking for elk sheds end of March! As far as tips, it really depends on the area you try. There is a ton of variance in what the elk prefer area to area over here so I would say research online and pick an area with good elk numbers then spend your trip learning that area. General rule for us is finding southern faces around that 7000 feet mark for elk. Try to stay on bull tracks all day and don’t be afraid to check out north slopes as well!
@MTN PACKERS lol, I was kinda confused but thanks for the tips, our main goal is brown elk sheds and at least one moose paddle cause we don't have those here
