For days? I think you mean weeks! If you got a melon that’s 10lbs it will probably last days, 40lbs is gonna be weeks unless you eat multiple pounds a day
I am a professional chef I have 4 culinary degrees, I ordered 6 stainless steel tables for my kitchens at my house. My wife and children told me no more kitchen equipment just because your a professional chef, I'm still going to keep ordering more kitchen equipment
Oh, you are so right. That big beauty tastes like REAL watermelon! When you cut into the real thing, it practically knocks you down with the aroma of pure summer.
Funny i just seen someone call grapes fake for being the shape of this watermelon here…and here i find another person low-key accusing GMO fruits of being fake. Im not for genetic modifications but i do know that manipulating them, doesn’t make them fake…just maybe more or less unnatural.
Yes black seedS HalleluYah** wow 40 lbs true .. good job young lady you definitely have a green thumb.. sounds and looks delicious😮 America is it ME* why is it so hard to find SEEDED WATERMELONS NOW?????
Look for a creamy yellow spot with lots of grey squiggly lines a brown belly button and the stripes should be 2 finger lengths apart. It should also sound full to the thump. If it's hollow it's dry.
Omg!! I was drooling and ready to climb thru my phone screen !! Bet that was heaven on earth. My Daddy always bought trailers full of watermelon and cantelope, honeydew. All of it and gave 2 trailer full to iur church and he literally delivered the rest to family, friends and the workers andnowners of locl businesses that did business with him. Aleays got them from a family owned farm in se mo. Near AR border. Nothing matches locally grown anything !! But those BLACK DIAMONDSSS . ...awwww Lawdy!!!!
When I read “black diamonds” I immediately thought that you were referring to the black seeds in the watermelon what are black diamonds? Is it a different type of watermelon?
Now this is what I miss seeing that the grocery stores!! I used to work for our local grocery store in 1986. I fondly remember, unloading tractor trailer loads of these huge watermelons, before everything turned to these junk seedless ones!! So, glad to see you grow these again! ❤
For those of you with a Vitamix or BlendTek style blender, you can really use up the entire melon; just make sure you wash the outer rind first and cut chunks of rind, with some of the inside portion of the watermelon, or whatever juice you’re blending up.
Damn $40? Where the hell do you live? We grow seedless and seeded melons in northeast Arkansas and you can buy them all day long for $3-$6 when they're coming off in July and August. I literally eat 5 melons a day during harvest. Slice it open and eat the heart out of it and chunk the rest.
Black seeds! Ok, great watermelon. These seedless ones just do not taste the same. I honestly have such a difficult time finding watermelon with seeds where I live 😢
When you say watermelon is 92% water, the average human weight is 130 lb, the human is 70% water and the watermelon is 40lb. A person would eat all of that would be over 100% water
As a huge h20melon fan, eat all that in a day and the human body will expel the water it doesn't need, quickly and often. I've got 40 🍉 plants in the soil rn, can't wait.
@@ojerico6097there is a chemical within the watermelon seed that kills cancer. Call me crazy but I think that's why they're taking the seeds out these days.
@HomesteadingwiththeJacksons 🌱🍉 Hello! You are very welcome! I appreciate you asking God to bless me too! Amen! We can all use a blessing each day! 😊 About the watermelon... I have a few questions... maybe you can answer them. First, did you grow the watermelon from a seed or did you buy a small plant at first? How long does it take to grow a watermelon? Is there a flower on the plant before the watermelon grows and if so, what color is it? I like to learn and I thought maybe someone else here would like to know the answers as well. Thanks! God bless you and family! Peace and happiness, Lynne🍃💜✝️💜🍃
