I was the same, always went with my Shinx and Snorlax. Just try out different mons you get and try to think what could be a good runner, having something with Pokerus can help if you have that Pokemon unlocked
@@Animedingo Pick up is good because that pokemon collects any item held by the enemy at the end of the battle. If the enemy has a lucky egg, with pickup you’ll probably get that lucky egg at the end of the battle
i feel like the main tip is to get lucky because as soon as you're lucky, everything cascades from there. you encounter a lot of meowth in your first runs, you're already very well set up for future good starts it seems. you get legendaries from your first vouchers? potentially gamemaking. pokerus selection/shiny luck? great. legendary bosses and the game offered you balls? cool. if not, you're gonna meander around feeling like you're getting nowhere. been having no luck with my eggs, runs never make it past 105 and thats where i got on my very first try already. the permanent progression with the candies seems way too much of a hassle to either rely on and again, its hard down to luck if you'll ever get there
my tip is to try rebattling. Ive made it to 200 within 20 tries. got lucky with finding an urshifu😂 but I was pretty unlucky with moves and overall item. retrying battles made it easier to progress because you can get an idea of what the AI will do. In my runs, moves missing/ landing are already pre-determined. Eg, I get para from the boss T bolt. Any time a T bolt is fired against me will para.(basically, you know its guaranteed) or if sleep power misses 3 times in a row. Sleep powder is guaranteed to miss 3 times no matter what sequence of moves u play. I played around those knowledge and ya got the dub. U can say its cheating but you gotta do what you gotta do to win 😂
I’ve only just started, but something I’ve realized is that power creep helps mitigate bad luck until you get good luck. Namely, Skeledirge. Probably my least favourite design in some time, but at Lv36, an 80 power 100 accuracy stab fire move that self boosts spatk can carry you for 50+ levels before you start matching against some fully evolved mons.
For tip 6, it should be noted that the permanent boost only applies for that run. It won’t carry over runs For tip 27 as well, luck caps at a certain point so sometimes getting more shinies won’t do anything
when i started playing i thought "huh this is kinda cool wonder if i can get a legendry lol, likely not!" i then proceeded to get a epic egg on the leg gatcha with a shiny Cobalion with a good nature my jaw hit the floor
I just full sweeped Ivys team with just Tapu Lele... i cleaned house with 1 pokemon with 4 moves. Garganacle on the othher hand helped me beat eternatus
If I’m trying to catch a Pokemon and I don’t catch it before it kills my team so I refresh, does that change the RNG or will I never catch it in that sequence?
As far as I know, If you do the exact same things in between attempts, the outcome will be the same. The game works with seeds, so try to make different moves and give it another go, maybe you will find a seed where you capture it!
When I first started to stream it a lot of people didn’t know you could scroll through all the generations, they thought it was only Gen 1 and Gen 2 which is why I included it as a tip 😎
Im not really 100% on the locked rng, i know it seems to be but if it was then i wouldnt have caught azelf, i literally repeated the exact same moves to weaken it with the same mon and i caught it after like 10 tries
I'm a bit confused on the different shinies, i hatched a black regice which is obviously not regices actually shiny yet its a gold star, my friend had the same thing happen with a nymble
Not if you bring a steel and a fairy type, you can switch between them over and over and get a free attack when it needs to recharge after using eterna beam, if you get a salt cure off at the start you dont even need to actually attack it
I basically have to restart I might as well have soft locked myself because I can't beat the battle at 195 because my team is not good enough to beat it:(
Having started playing it recently, myself, the level cap thing pretty much only matters if your team has a lot of pokemon in the faster XP groups. If any of your pokemon are in the slower xp groupings you'll almost never hit the xp cap until late game where it barely matters (as you'll be hunting for rare candies and held items at that point anyways). I almost never have my team hit the levelcap until I start fighting fully evolved pokemon unless they're in the faster xp groups, and at that point its usually a non-issue.
Thibbs, Manuel... You guys are just so masochistic that any semblance of fairness has lost its meaning. You're addicted _sweats._ and that's sadder than any connotation you can ever throw at me.
