While I do miss the eerie smile the old Vex design had, the new design does fit better with Allays. It adds to the lore of Illagers capturing Allays and corrupting them into Vexes.

Nah it's just Parity, some of the only decent feature from bedrock edition are being brought to Java, not only to make them more similar as 'one game', but also they're just quality of life features
i actually love the new Vex texture - i’ll miss the old one of course, but i think the new design looks really cool and definitely adds something to think about when it comes to lore. thanks for another awesome video! i’ve been watching for years now and your videos never fail to make me smile :)
Some corrections: 1) A lot of the minor changes such as the inventory change (and things that came from it) as well as the vex remodel and bugfixes will arrive in 1.19.3. Only the things exclusively in the Experimental toggle such as the chiseled bookshelves and camels will be arriving in 1.20 2) The vex's hitbox is the same. The changelog said it "retains" a larger hitbox, which means its hitbox has not been adjusted to fit the new model and was left the same 3) I'm pretty sure you switched around the scaffolding textures when doing the image change comparison but I'm not 100% sure. The texture is a little darker and warmer now. 4) Bamboo woodset crafting recipies have changed in the latest snaphshots to be more akin to regular wood. Now you make it by using 9 bamboo to craft "Bamboo blocks". These function as the "logs" of the bamboo set. From there, this block can be stripped or crafted into two bamboo planks. From there the rest is the same
5:40 This crafting recipe has actually been changed, and now makes 2 bamboo logs with 9 bamboo, which can be turned into 2 bamboo planks. (Also, you can strip the bamboo logs!)
I rly like the new vex look. It's just so much more fitting with the mob. I think it's interesting the way every single mob in the game has its own spawn egg. Though with the dragon and wither eggs only obtainable through command, you might as well just spawn them directly from the command unless you plan on destroying your PC lol Also Camel Sniffer Diamonds 💎
Ok Antony, you seem a bit confused about the update. The recent snapshots are technically for 1.19.3 and not 1.20.. The 1.20 features (Camels, new bamboo blocks, chiseled bookshelves, hanging signs, etc.) are in the game, but are behind an experimental data pack that you need to add to your world manually. I’m saying this to end the confusion over the whole situation. 🙂
1.20 is a quality of life update, for example, 1. adding the iron golem spawn eggs and snow golem eggs so you don't have to manually spawn them in. 2. Adding a spawn egg tab to make the eggs easier to obtain. 3. Adding the Enderdragon spawn egg, cutting the amount of time in half to use the "/summon Ender_dragon" command by just using the egg to spawn it instantly. 4. Mob spawners can be obtained quickly using the creative inventory instead of the command. 5. The entire creative inventory has been rearranged to make finding blocks and items more accessible. 6. A new mob... Everyone loves new mobs, and it's cute. 7. New form of transportation, Camals. They may look slow but unlike horses, Camels are better for flat terrain with large caves and rivers, whereas horses are for large mountains and hills. 8. New wood type to build with and in my opinion has a very good texture. 9. Bamboo wood is super easy to get your hands on if you have found a bamboo forest. (TIP) If you have bamboo wood laying around make a raft instead of a boat it will save you a few bits of wood... 10. This update is cool but, doesn't add too much to the game yet.

I like that I finally see people who like the new Vex design. I never really cared about it too much, but apparently other people did. So far I've seen quite a few people saying that they think it's weird that they changed the Vex and I have no idea why, but in these comments there seem to be many people accepting the change or are even glad about it. And I am 100% convinced that they did this change because of the Game Theory video about the Allay and the Vex being the same creature.

Camels in Minecraft: passive mobs Camels in real life: actually going to kill you if you make one angry or if the camel tries to “flirt” with you (seriously though, I’m not joking when I said that. Go look it up).
I suggest the raft should be a lot bigger for like 4 person, or like one player can sail it and the other player can just stand on it, you know, just for better experience
