An insight into how round baling in Ireland has progressed over the last 40 years since it's introduction in 1982. This video contains footage of one of the first belt balers to work in Ireland as well as some of the latest technology in the form of a combi baler. It also shows the progression to a later model John Deere belt baler and also a McHale baler with rollers. The advancements in how the round bales were ensiled is also visible from the very first bale bags to the wrap that is more commonly seen today.
