Beautifully shot video today Eric, your videography skills and editing just get better and better. Especially the shots through the tree line make you feel like you are actually riding the snow yourself. Fab powder snow, which unfortunately we don't get very much of these days in the UK. More of the slushy ice stuff if anything. Not like when I was younger much younger. I guess that is the environment and the changes we all see in our climates these days. Anyway see you both next week, stay safe, much love from across the pond in the UK.
Thanks so much for saying that, I really appreciate it. I think you're right about the environment. We have much fewer ski days here now as well. the resort I went to in high school didn't even open the last couple years. :( I guess it means a few more bike days each year. See you next week!
So white, so steep, so hard, so scary fast & steep, so worth it, so fun! I love you guys. Happy New Year! And the dog, patiently sitting in the back! I thawed up at the end in the steam of the jacuzzi. Much love to you...
Greatly appreciate your videos: the music, outdoor adventure footage, the triathlon and Xterra insights & successes, and of course the amazing fur family!! Cheers to your 2022 season.
Super great workout, "skin" up then off with the skins to "bomb" down-earning your thrills! Guessing Eric did the shooting on the downhills/through the trees -gutsy! Awesome scenary/music/footage/editing-100% first rate. The best entertainment on you tube!
The snow looks amazing and it looked pretty steep and deep in some sections! As always love watching your videos! Doggos look like they had a great timeb😄💕👍🏻
Happy new year to the dream team, all the best! Beautiful scenery ❄️❄️❄️ Looked like an amazing day! Thanks for sharing your journey with us! Always inspiring!
i so enjoyed this. haven't skied since 2019, sure makes me miss it you are all such beautiful skiers! i want to try alpine touring with the skins and then skiing down but no one in my family is up for the challenge and I don't think i can be trusted to do it alone. LOL. great filming Eric!
Oh no! It's definitely something that you CAN do alone, but I'd stay on the resort like we did rather than venture into actual backcountry. But, 100% more fun with friends/family. Maybe they'll come around
What would you like to know about the masterspa? We've got it fully converted to a hot tub right now, so won't be doing much swimming in it through the winter
Thanks for this amazing video and a happy and healthy new Year, all the best for you both and Flynn. Eric, you used the GoPro 10 for the Video? Can you tell me which format you used?
Hi Dennis, I actually used the gopro 360 camera for this. I just find it too challenging to get any amount of usable footage with the hero9 (I don't have a 10) while trying to ride, turn, etc. But if I were to use the hero, I'd shoot superview
Jealous of your inbounds area to skin up. Harder to come by in Utah. FYI, enjoyed Drift Coffee in Maui in December (as promised) and they totally remembered you guys shooting your vlog footage in their shop. ☕️
Really?? That's awesome! We actually chatted with the guy working for a while and it turned out he had spent a lot of time both in Banff and skiing here in Bend. Crazy small world
yeah they love it :) We got Flynn shoes in Canada, but we haven't had much issue with the snow packing in his paws here. We bought some that were very very simple, made for sled dogs. They didn't have any branding, so I'm not sure how to find them. His big dog collar with the grab handle is made by bossdog and his harness is from ruffwear
Did all of you ski and ride before becoming triathletes? Fun winter break for you. I've had a hard time getting back to my tri training after getting almost 18 feet of snow between Dec 11 and 31 on Donner Summit (Sugar Bowl Ski). But tomorrow I'm on the bike outside, even if it's short.
Yep we both grew up riding! 18ft in two weeks is nuts. We haven't made it out in a few weeks either, but we've made the pain cave as good of an environment as possible so we actually feel like getting on the trainer. Good luck with the ride!
