Request, when interview other drivers and teams. Could who edits videos put name there. So we not so hard-core fans and international viewers would learn to connect name, car and driver/team. Well all know Tom and Alex... but the rest 😀TY for great video again.
What tha,, Tom chicken footed that lap?? He's been a 5:99 at 250mph but he spooked when the front lifted at mid track?? Ya mean our buddy Tom Bailey has human emotions too??🙂
Hey Tom I'm a 60 yr old retired Toyota/Lexus tech out of Ontario. You sir, are the epitome of straight line racing. I love your dedication and devotion to racing Much respect
Turbo spins 100,000 rpms to 150,000 rpms it is mind mlowinhwhen you think about it. When I was drag racing I run a 1271 blower with Endurely injection. It was 2000 hp at the wheels 2650 pounds When I stop i was making passes 7.62@165. 70 Camaro moly cage. Leo Supercharger's is who built my motors. I miss racing so much. I had lot people couldn't believe I raced an had no legs from above the knees. Lost them in 1993 at my job. An got into drag racing . It don't let me post websites I have a website of all the cars I raced. And I had a chimpanzee that went to the track with me every time. Love your channel!!
Hell yeah, this is like a movie of racing content. These are the fastest of the fast also, no one is a a rookie and everyone knows their vehicle from front bumper to the parashoots. 👍🏻🏁🇺🇸
has anyone noticed that prostock and promods all the cars make full runs I know these guys only make runs, on a dfferent surface however alex and her father adapted and made full runs on a NHRA surface. congrats , fyi i raced for over 30 years in nhra. thanks to all involved in this mile stone event and for bringing this video so more people can keep drag racing alive there is a livel for everyone get involved at your local track.
As usual NHRA totally blew a great opportunity here. For almost all of the runs there was maybe a couple hundred fans in the stands. NHRA had to be the most clueless racing organization on the planet. Their events are a total snooze fest.
@@danmyers9372 The NHRA is doing these guys a favor by letting them tag along. Except for those who watch RU-vid videos literally no one in the drag racing world knows the names of any of the drag and drive event guys. They don't race any real competition, they race a small pool of the same cars and drivers. At the Pro Mod Invitational at Bradenton racers I spoke with didn't even know who McFarland's was, they called him "that RU-vid guy who bought the track next door." Nor did they even care. A real promod guy would eat his lunch.
@@iknklstNobody cares about NHRA. That's why tracks are being closed down all across the country. I highly doubt Cleetus cares who knows him or doesn't.
@@iknklstwho cares about NHRA that's why tracks are closing all across the country. You think Cleetus cares who in NHRA knows him or not. He's got rich off of fans that love him not billion dollar corporations.
@@rmzlife Tracks are closing due to economic reasons, not the NHRA boogeyman you created in your head. Racing is too expensive for the average working guy and that also has a lot to do with tracks losing money; no cars are showing up. No one cares how much money McFarland makes, I stand by what I stated: He doesn't race any real competition, he races to create content. Win lose or blow up he makes money on people watching his videos and the merchandise he sells. The NHRA does the same.
Thanks Tom for an excellent video 📹. The exposure for drag and drive at this national event will pay off in spades! Excellent job by everyone who kept chipping away at poor track prep for radials. Congrats Schroeder on the win. Alex Taylor's enthusiasm and sportsmanship are second to none. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible.
I give Tom extra credit for his love of racing and the enthusiasm he has for the nearly-abandoned Route 66 Speedway. The track will probably sell to another intermodal truck center like the rest of this section of Joliet.
The fastest human on a land vehicle was Col. John Paul Stapp was 632mph in 1954 on a rocket sled. He suffered temporary blindness from 46 G's He reached that speed in five seconds.
Wow!! Tom's last lap 6:33 @245mph,, he's gotta be "kinda" happy with that. HUGE mile per hour even though it broke traction, slipped sideways and Tom hadda lift,, that lap was ON POINT for a record. Yeah,, could'a, should'a, would'a but it was pretty good considering all the troubles he's had recently.
Man i wish i knee this was going on. I want to get son to some bigger drag racing events. We will be going to sick summer in june and we are super excited about it!
@@jimhodge8594 Has not always been that way. If you know anything about the history of the sport. John Force won a large percentage of his races with a single car team. Pro stock was always single car teams. Greed like every other major sport is what is the common issue for failure.
Too bad Steve Morris's wagon it still at the paint shop , im waiting too see what she does with the new rear wheels, did he add or lose weight too, i guess next year it will have BIGGER turbos and its currently LOVING the 110mm turbos
I had a Fiero Identical to the giveaway. It was fun till I ran over a family of raccoons. Feeling them under the car didn't set right with me. I sold it immediately. A Ute is a dream of mine. I will be entering asap. Be cool if NHRA sanctioned Drag and Drive events get some money involved.
Tom, your car is a beast, but it's the longest car I've seen in a minute. Reminds me of a power boat or a yacht. If it was any longer, you would be late. Lol
Akex Taylor- Dad pulled plugs, im guna try to get a good DaDa read. I know she said data, but her sentence was perfect for DaDa Just glad the corvette won, hell ya.
