@@LastExile1989 if it says 12 amps yes it is the consumption but the watt rating written on the box is mostly an advertising value. Mostly the big font written value is explained in small fonts in the manuel as sucking value equal to....
I built 1kW high frequency inverter using STP160N75F3 from ST Microelectronics and they were very cheap and highly capable MOSFETs. What is your losses like since you are using low frequency transformer?
Smith Kerona i also have design high frequency psw 1.5 - 2.5kw...base on egs002 using GP4066D IGBT eff is 95% see my others video..reason built low frequency is robust and rugged expicially run motor starter 2.5 - 3hp..high freq always failed do this jobs...i also repair dozen of 5kva high freq hybrid inverter mpp solar,giant,must power most of them blew IGBT due to run inductive motor such air compressor,water pump,welding machine...only Low frequency inverter can do this job safely...about the losses my design LF use egs002 i got 88% efficiency if using transfomer ratio 32v pri 240v sec at 48v...high freq has 95% efficiency and Low freq has 85-88% efficiency is not to bad sir.
Hello my question is not coming under your construction. Now I bought the Chinese inverter driver board with Egs002 module with 12 big size translators HY 4008 transistors. And it's rated 1500 watts. But we only loaded 200watts, 100w TV, fan 50 watts and six led bulbs each 12 watts. The inverter board hasn't a Totem pole transistors driver. It was without this. But one side of the heat sink was overheating, especially one of the the two alternatives that goes to the transformer input. My big and experienced Technicians, why this? Only those 3 transistor on that Heat Sink was heating quickly. I try to run grinding tool of 850 watts, it runs but output voltage went down to 180 to 150 volts A.C. But with 650 watts drilling tool, output voltage maintained. So this inverter cannot run 1000w loan constant because 850w load is falling. Please Engineer, can you please help contribute to my problem. Let your platform be my learning school, thanks my brother, May Allah increase your business
Transformer i custom order from factory....the best transfomer ratio for 48v is 32v pri 240v secondary...you will get 88 - 90% efficiency depend on quality your mosfet.
From what I see the data sheet say the power dissipation is 370 watt and you have 16 fet that’s 5950watt and 800 watt is losses you get 5000watt of power available to you so I don’t see why you get 1900 watt of losses

Those MOSFETs don't look genuine IRFB4110. I recently bought counterfeit IRFB4110 MOSFETs from ebay and aliexpress and they looked exactly like yours. Also, the HY4008W Chinese MOSFETs come in TO-247 or TO-3P packages not TO-220 as shown in the video.
Smith Kerona see on datasheet friends..HY4008 has version T-3Ps,T-220 and T-263 too...i test T-220 load over 5kw the fets still sustain the load..not bad at all..
No offense, but this is no true test of anything. Allow the load run for like five minutes, and show the voltmeter while loading, so we can confirm how effective your feedback is. Thats what I think.
5 minute waste youtube frame time just wait the load? Haha this design i already sell production over 400 + unit now run over 300 unit online over rural area in my country...run 2hp motor water pump no issue...
Petr Benesovsky thanks for advise...by the way when using fets 4110pbf the temp heatsink not more than 45c even load 3kw ++ and fan also help cooling down..
Thanks for your response :) I've that you can hold your hand those radiators which means that it's not hot. Problems might occur when you load it with 3kw for a long time. The fan is definitely a good idea. But for higher efficiency you should place it into some box so the air can flow between those parts.
