Hey, Chris....the Gold Coast is NOT the ONLY nice neighborhood in Chicago. Also, there isn't a comedy club in the Gold Coast....Zanies is in the Old Town neighborhood....plus, the Jussie Smollet "attack" happened in the north side of the loop close to the Brown line by Lake St. The closest theater is the landmark CHICAGO THEATER on State St. which is a venue for all types of acts...Chelsea Handler did film her comedy special there....many bands play there.... MADONNA held her concert there last fall...etc. Chicago has many great neighborhoods.
