The professor started to suffer after demise of his mother. Then he started a thesis on his fear was real or not. First he experienced on Gourav. He died. Gourav chased Abhimanyu to know the truth. Professor also chosed Abhimanyu to complete his thesis as he did with Gourav. As Gourav is always with Abhimanyu, at the hall they both knew professor played with them. At last Abhimanyu too couldn't survive. Last scene is a holy spirit took Abhimanyu's look to punish Professor.

If you have any kind of mental issue, even anxiety, you should not watch it, it's for medical professionals or those who are very very strong by nature (strong mean you know much about Psychology, you treated patients, you don't get effected while treated patients, you are not irritated by any offensive image or many things) Regards a doctor 😊

My take on this movie. The professor already had bipolar disorder in dormant state . The triggering point of professor’s disorder was the death of his mother He started hallucinating and started to see his dead mother but refuses to accept that he is hallucinating(like Abhimanyu’s case)) But then he finally accepted his mother’s death and his disease(bipolar)..but still he sees hallucinations These hallucinations seems very real to professor and he thinks the mother he is hallucinating is her soul or spirits This affected his mental health and he decided to perform illegal experiment on Abhimanyu(ragging with help from Chris) to prove that these hallucination are just from his disease and not ghosts or souls. His experiment goes very smooth with inflicting ideas of Gaurav and his story on Abhimanyu’s mind . (Due to Raggingfrom seniors) Soon Abhimanyu also started seeing hallucinations of Gaurav ..despite being doubtful at first he also soon thinks that the images of Gaurav that he sees are real and not just mere hallucinations . So the professor finally takes Abhimanyu to the dark room and debates with Abhimanyu that these were just hallucinations (also how’s Abhimanyu his medical report of bipolar)and when Abhimanyu finally agrees to professors he shows the audience (his imaginary audience) that his experiment was a success and there are no such thing as ghosts or souls . But seeing professor celebrating and dictating to no one in the hall.. Abhimanyu realises that the professor is also suffering from the same conditions as his and have been experimenting on him(Abhimanyu) to eradicate his fear ..Abhimanyu starts to realise all of these hallucinations was because of professors doing. He now also knows that the professor also experimented on Gaurav. So he finally suicides while the professor is busy shaking hands and celebrating with his audience ( which are imaginary or hallucination) Then the professor talks with Abhimanyu (in his imagination)and follows him in his room . He sees his dead body while he was still talking with Abhimanyu THERE HE REALISES THAT ABHIMANYU IS ACTUALLY ALREADY DEAD AND THE PERSON HE WAS TALKING TO WAS HIS IMAGINATION. HIS FEAR OF SPIRITS HITS BACK. Note -I think the author wants us viewers to understand the effects of mental disorders on the people.

So nice story.... Aisa movie dekh ke samajhna padega ki movie ka motive kya hai... Hat's off the writer & all movie charector including director 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This movie is just a dream The reality is that we are seeing it .

They didn’t explain bipolar disorder clearly. Also not a single scene gives justice to Psychological disorder. It has shown Psychotic disorder only, because in Bipolar patient face atleast one episode of severe depression and one episode of acute mania.

It's simple. Professor ka dimagh do hisso main bhatta hua tha ak hissa ye accept kr chuka tha k maa ki rooh nazar aati hai. Dusra hissa contradict krta tha k ye srf weham hai jo wo imagine krta hai uska dimagh wohi vision bna k dikhata hai usse. Wo b yehi khud ko accept krwana cahta tha k ye srf imagination hai. He got idea jb usne abhi ko gaurav ka room k lye insist krte suna. Presentation wale time wo bht khush hua bcz usko lga k ye imagination wala hissa sai prove hogya but at the end spirit wali soch poore dimagh pe hawi hogyi aur ab yeh change ni honi.

Had this movie been made by likes of Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorcese or Christopher Nolan and acted by the likes of Leo Di Caprio& Brad Pitt, it would've been a charbuster. The storyline is just out of this world.

In the last scene, it was Chris talking to the professor. But the professor was at the worst of his disease, so he started seeing Abhimanyu in him. *Watch the last scene again and see Abhimanyu's body language and acting* Basic concept in this movie is that Psychological disorders can really affect anyone irrespective of his education or achievements. Illusions and hallucinations are different but both can cause lots of harm to one's physical self. Psychological trauma led to Gaurav's and Abhimanyu's suicide. Abhimanyu had an additional concept of betrayal as well. And professor's condition has worsened and it will ultimately lead him towards total isolation and any such person might kill himself or others some day.

aatma nhi hoti hai... watch the movie carefully ..even that Nishikant Kamat a professor was having hallucinations(he is seeing his dead mother)...while experimenting that guy, professor seeded some kind of hallucinating thoughts in himself also...and the end of the movie is a result of that..he started believing in spirits, in fact that professor being a doctor, has a critical mental condition

Basically what the movie tried to show is science does not believe in spirits but that does not mean they do not exist. Both the theories and beliefs are right in their own places. If someone commits suicide or dies of a tragic accident their spirit stays back. This has been nicely proven in the end.

The statements given by the professor for Abhimanyu treatment was correct But, at the end when Abhimanyu get to that he was used as a puppet for professor's experiment, he got broken. So, I think that rather than committing suicide Abhimanyu thought to take revenge by help of his mates to teach lesson to the professor that how it feels to be a puppet. Even Initially Abhimanyu was also a proper medical SCIENCE BELIEVER that ghost doesn't exist and then in the end the professor proved Abhimanyu right . So, there doesn't seems any solid reason to commit suicide.

Abhimanyu realises dr anirudh used him as a subject 1:46:55 Abhimanyu is going in room no. 404 to do su*cide 1:47:12 Here we can see the horns of devil on dr anirudh 1:49:24 Spirit of Abhimanyu after taking it's revenge It was not chris in the end scene because dr meera talked about shock therapy for meenakshi, and said "anirudh ke kehne pe" ( just to make chris realise that she knows he did ragging of abhimanyu anirduh ke kehne pe) just see his expressions 1:49:24 it is abhimanyu's spirit when dr anirudh saw abhimanyu in corridor it was not hallucinations because he can't have hallucination of abhimanyu being alive before knowing that he is dead. it was his spirit maybe gaurav did su*cide because he was seeing the spirits of the dead people who were in the room 404

As a medical student myself I think this movie was more about psychosis rather than bipolar because here the only symptom is hallucinations nothing else In bipolar there is a period of depression followed by mania which is not seen here!

1:44:35 if you notice clearly that here avi reaction is shocked i think not because of the he saw that audience here actually he shocked because professor was in hallucination at that time and he was always from the beginning in professor mind he created the fake audience and trying to prove that avi it his hallucination and there is no such things like ghost , spirit but actually here professor was in his last stage of hallucination so he made up fake audience and later i think avi and professor wife made a plan of fake suicide of avi to prove professor wrong ... by the way this movie has open ending any theories can be true so this is mine ....

For the ending , i think the professor killed abhimanyu . As his wife mentions that he can hurt anyone in that medical condition ( to hostel warden in the last ) . So the professor might have seen the soul of abhi. manyu

Our subconscious minds can't differentiate between reality n falsehood. Fear is in our minds. Actually what kind of data we stored previously or by reading, our subconscious minds make it real. Last two decades I've been goings through wrong phase. Therefore I started doubt in everything. This doubt or fears make me a patient or cardiac risk. When I sleep switching off lights, I feel like in grave.

This movie gives us Two social messages of not to do ragging and the Bipolar Disorder I think after death of his mother Dr Anirudh's also affected from Bipolar disorder and according to rumours of Ghost and paranormal activities he just want to prove that Ghosts are not real At the end Either Dr Anirudh get Hallucinate or Abhimanyu Spirit give him punishment.
