I think I have both of the model kits you used to build your two old hot rods. I got them for a reasonable price at Ollie's at the end of last year. Would the H&R chassis you used on the barge and others be applicable for these 40's style rods or is the Scaleauto chassis the best choice for this application? From your experience, which of the chassis types would be best for adding Carrera's digital chip, if used for a full body car more similar to your barge?

The H&R chassis will work for just about anything. And I know there is a spot to mount a chip in the ScaleAuto 8500RTR chassis. And there is plenty of room for one in the H&R.
