The nostalgia hit hard with this film, i was 14 years old and dreamed to be a pro skater, this was 24 years ago.. 24 years !! I cant beleive... i went through hard stuff all my life, i used to think i wouldnt even get past 30 years old.... thanks for uploading this film
I know I had this 411 at this time, but I was already sorta fading away from skating a bit, a junior in high school chasing girls and partying too much. I remember it, and remember watching it. It feels like a period in skating that sorta marked the end of the good times in away, and for me at least skating lost a bit of its cultural clout and was about to go through a rough patch. I don’t know if that’s true or just how I remember it because I was ending high school and sorta moving on like we were all told was part of the deal. Maybe for others this marks a beginning. But, from everything I can tell, everyone is still nostalgic for those early to mid 90s hay days. Also, from watching this, seeing the styles of that time and hearing the music, like the Blink songs, I sorta know exactly the kinda choices I made for myself to derail all my dreams, and why I made them. It’s crazy the sorta realization I had at 42 seeing this video again and remembering exactly where I was and who I was then.
20:24 is what made me fall in love with Barcelona. I have been living here for more than 11 years now. It is even better than I could have ever imagined!
This 411 was the fist one that i bought at 15 yo in my skateshop in France in 1999...James Craig tre flip at 4:30 is so Amazing😳,i thought it was a double hardflip 😅
Commercial @ 6:06 Network 17 Mike V.,....ride-up 50-50 on that sick ledge!!!. Blows my mind. My buddy Fredo and I would watch this over and over on slo-mo. And where is that ledge?
Jr High, 1998, my town was weird, the jr high was in the high school so it was like 7th grade/freshman year, going from the kings and queens of middle school to dog shit lol. Does anyone remember Basic Skateboards- Enjoy the Ride? That was the first video I saw but got my 1st complete in 97, back when World 🌎 Industries was still king. Christmas 98 I got this video and Shortys - Fulfill the Dream which blew my mind wide open and made me fall in love with skate culture and Golden era/underground hiphop which worked out perfect because alternative rock was basically dead and MTV switched up into something more vapid, shallow, and commercial. 97-98 was kind of the beginning of the end of the golden era of skateboarding but 97-2003 was still a dope era. I just remember not really liking the feel of the VX2000 era but that's me.
Can anyone tell me for God Sake the number of the issue that contains a part where a guy ask for a beggar: “Are you looking at the pappers?” Then the beggar says: “Get the fock out of here!” I laught so much but i cant find it, i’ve already look at a lot of videos but cant find it!
