Hyatt Tamaya is amazing! Food, amenities, activities, and rooms are all wonderful and the views are amazing!!! Highly recommend also going to Santa Fe if you’ll be in New Mexico!
We just stayed at the HR Tamaya. It was great! The kids loved the pools and slide. My wife and I enjoyed the drinks and adult pool. The nightly s’more packs were loved by all. We have 3 rooms at the GH Baha Mar mid June, very exciting, 2 rooms on GOH and my room as a globalist.
Have a great time at Baha Mar! The Globalist perks will definitely help since you get free breakfast and drink tickets. We also love hearing about less talked about properties like Tamaya. People say the surrounding area provides great scenery!
Oh wow I thought the Atlantis was expensive. Waterpark wise Atlantis is much better for all ages. We save money by dining off property a couple times. Get to support the local businesses as well.

Mitch is so funny to hear his perspective and brutal honesty. I really wish i could get one of those JetBlue mint flights too! An amazing redemption. Nicole is always funny but extra funny in this episode, "why isn't there beach week". "Wear smallest bra, pretend you're 11" 🤣What's funny is that I haven't told my daughter to be younger, but instead be older! Macaron baking class in Paris was for 6 and up, she was 5, I told her she is 6 and make sure she says she is 6. Tea ceremony in Kyoto was 7 and up, she was 6, I told her to pretend to be 7. When we were in Andaz Costa Rica, kids 5 and under eat free. I was asked a few times how old my daughter was, and I couldn't do it. She just turned 6 at the time. Maybe I should have in hindsight!!

Thanks to the upcoming devaluation, it expedited our decision to book Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, which we reserved for May. Serena, I think they also devalued Alila Jamal Akhdar. I might have to do a speculative booking for that and figure out the flights for that trip. Maybe squeeze in the E sweet spot route from AUH-LHR. Is that booked thru E or Aeroplan? How many points is it? As always, great episode! At the very least, saved me a ton of Hyatt points by not booking Baha Mar anymore.
Hi Gene! E booked through EY’s site is a staggering amount. 200k miles pp! 😳You’ll want to look for availability through AA, whenever it’s available at 63k pp. Booking through Aeroplan is unreliable and non existent at best.
Hi Gene. You're right! I forgot to mention both Alila Jabal and Park Hyatt Istanbul. Both are worth booking. I ended up booking another Alila Jabal reservation for 2 nights just in case I want to move to the new St Regis for the 3rd night. I'll need to cancel one as we get closer!
Yikes! I been looking at the hotel for awhile but I may have to stick with my Hilton Resorts. I have 2 aspires which comes with $200 resort credit each. $400 for entire stay + whatever the daily credit is for being a diamond member. Makes the stay alot cheaper.

Thank you for the review, Mitch! I was debating between Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve in Puerto Rico. Has anyone in your team traveled to that property and is it as expensive and as busy as Baha Mar? Hopefully not...
Hi Beau! We think it’s people with money who are able to keep returning. 🤑Otherwise, for points people, this resort makes sense for people with Globalist status or people who booked with Privé rates which offers perks like free breakfast and resort credit.
Benefits of the property: It is the best Hyatt property with a water park which also makes it great for families. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is calm and nice. The casino is Vegas-worthy. The Bahamas has crystal clear blue water. People have trouble looking past the cost of the mediocre food.
Yea I can appreciate that. The reviews seem to be pretty consistent - just amazes me people continue to visit. I had planned to visit this week (3/19-23) but cancelled. Your reviews plus the others I’ve watched cemented that.
43:00 what serena is saying. For globalist advance booking. Can this be done with free night certificate also? For example, can a room be booked before the certificate comes in? And attach it later?
Hi! Free night certs can only be applied if an applicable room is available. You can cancel your advance booking and then try to book again and apply the cert but there is no guarantee your cancelled room will go back into inventory. If this is for a property where it is going up a category, unfortunately this method will not work.
