My mom was on the streets too when I was growing up and she reminds me of how much in denial my mother was. One day I hope this young lady wakes up one day. This is very telling how some ppl can be so delusional. Being on the streets full time= you’re not raising your child. Period.

Cooking dinner, doing hair or getting haircuts, waking up in the middle of the night with a sick kid, cleaning up vomit, giving baths, making beds, answering “why” questions every 10 mins, having firsts, I could go on and on and on and on. And, I don’t have kids. Grl stop!

Some of these people in the comments are overly judgmental. If you know someone has mental health issues and isnt in there right state of their mind then why judge them. These people are being open by even doing these interviews

Marcus, it is deeply hurtful and cruel for you to bring up Shaniqua's child in this context. Firstly, Shaniqua is struggling with severe substance abuse addiction, which is a serious disease that deserves compassionate treatment, much like cancer, as she has no control over it. Secondly, I have seen her parenting through her periods of sobriety on Facebook, and her son is exceptionally intelligent and well cared for. During her challenging times, her parents step in to provide the necessary support for him. Your dismissive attitude towards her addiction is extremely disrespectful and dehumanizing, reducing her struggles to something she can control, which is simply not the case. This attitude is also offensive to viewers who may have loved ones in similar situations. While I understand you might not care and may never read this, I hope that Shaniqua and her family do see it and know that we support them and wish the best for both Shaniqua and her brilliant son.
It's more so hurtful and cruel for her to be a deadbeat drug addicted parent doing whoever and whatever while her child is probably struggling mentally watching his mom deteriorate. Addiction is a disease but people who suffer from cancer do not have a choice, most times, they don't have the option of going to rehab or therapy to control the disease and live a productive life.....,SHE DOES!!! This lady is a handful and is very much in denial and VERY disrespectful towards Marcus. I really wish he would stop interviewing her because she gets on my damn nerves. She knows wtf she is doing.
