I don't get you people.You r quick to jump on BB's defense because he was a sexual abuse victim.But Ste is ALSO a physical abuse victim, he was abused by his mom,stepdad AND Brendan.Do NOT forget that. There's a reason Steven wont admit that he believes Brendan sexually assaulted Kevin. It goes back to when he wrongly believed that Brendan killed Rae. That really hurt Brendan, he took that as betrayal. That's why Steven is being so mute, not giving Brendan a straight forward answer. It killed Brendan that Steven actually believed that he could harm a woman. Just like then, everybody believes that Brendan is guilty, even Steven.

Ste's lack of faith in his oneandonly is simply gutting. At the same time, today, I'm just blown away by the first couple of minutes of acting here - Emmett, you''re pure magic.

Actually, Brendan never raped Walker. If you're referring to that scene in "Later," then you have to realize that Walker had every intention of letting Brendan have sex with him. That was his way of getting Brendan to let down his guard. It seemed like rape, because of the violent nature of the scene before, and Walker's revulsion after.

On the obvious front, Brendan's sickened by the fact that Steven could think he's the same as Seamus, that he could believe he was guilty of the SA. But I think somewhere deep down, there's a part of him wondering what kind of man Steven is if he believes he did it, but is still standing by him, cooking him steak and supporting him, just like his Nana supported his father when she knew what he was doing to Brendan. He wants Ste to support him for the right reasons, because he believes him when he tells him he's innocent, not because he loves him and is willing to look past what he believes Brendan might be capable of. He doesn't want his blind support if Steven has even a sliver of doubt, because that changes who Steven is to him. I also think it's a part of why why he said before 'there is nothing you could do that could ever make me stop loving you'. He needs the reminder that Ste is not like his Nana and that he is nothing like Seamus.
Then when he tells Steven that he paid Kevin off for him and their relationship, Steven is reminded of Danny Houston's death and the wedge that drove between them, making it harder for him to believe in Brendan's innocence. He can't be sure how far Brendan will take things based on his own experiences with him.
Are you SERIOUS?? I can't even...Brendan is a STICKLER for consent. Absolute stickler. You need to rewatch that scene and eVERY OTHER scene in which Brendan is about to get it on. He ALWAYS always always waits for consent.
Sometimes Ste makes me want to scream at him. He knows damn well BB would not sexually assault anyone. Even when BB and Ste went thru that horrific time where BB refuse to admit he is gay, he still never sexually assaulted Ste. BB looked Ste in the eye and told Ste the accusations are a lie. As his boyfriend, the one he loves, and trust, Ste should believe him without question. Ste is going regret doubting BB like this.
I understand Ste's hesitation about just the beaten up part. Ste's experienced that from Brendan, so that's a logical thing for him to be unsure about. But thinking that he's guilty of sexual assault? Really, Ste? I cannot believe for a second that you'd believe he was capable of that. Even CHERYL said that even with everything Brendan's done, he would never do that. Brendan needs to just TELL HIM about the sexual abuse he went through. Even if he just blurts it out, he needs to. =(

Also I love the Stendan moment when Brendan pulls Ste back to protect him from whatever was thrown through the window *sighs* even though it was during an agrgument, nobody can argue that that was so special in some way X
I cannot believe that I only JUST realized that Brendan was about to admit to what his dad to him. "Don't tell me you believe I'm capable of the same thing that...*brick*" You can tell he was about to say "...my dad did to me" I wish so much that he could have said that in that moment. So Ste could realize then why Brendan was so terrified of Seamus. omg.
I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that Brendan's not going to have a happy ending. But if they ruin Cheryl's happily-ever-after, I'll be really, really upset. She's basically spent years being screwed over in every relationship, I hope they let her have this one.
I'm so angry, disappointed and sad. Brendan Brady didn't deserve this crappy exit storyline where he has been involved just a bit and where Stendan have come back to the square 1 without talking and trusting each other. I can't believe they have shown Ste telling B he was sure B didn't assault Kevin and the minute later he does. Brendan is left alone dealing with this shit. Stendan had to be the centre of Brendan leaving but apparently writers have lost their plot and minds. I feel robbed.
OH I HATE spoilers they always lie although im happy Double B didn't beat Ste up they still got me annoyed when they said it and i think Kevin and Maxine's brother- sister relationship is so cute
you know what bugs me about ste doubting brendan. its one thing it was about the violence but does he think he sexual assault him too? the writers sloppy handling of this to make it more like Ste think he did do it. it makes no sense ste to think that and to still hold it at that, so why is he still with him then. I am not saying u can't have to that 'possibly' doubt but sexual assualt? I don't, they just trying to rip them apart and brendan going on a spiral now makes sense but not ste.
I don't think Brendan's gonna die, in a recent interview, he was asked about his future plans, and at the end he said "and who knows, in a couple of years I could be on a TV drama, or back on HOLLYOAKS! If that was a possibility, he can't die, unless he pulled a Warren. I don't want him to die of course, but also going back to prison or escaping wouldn't do him justice.
Also how does Cheryl keep lucking out when it comes to getting bank? First she won a lottery or something and was able to buy Chez Chez, and now she's marrying a dude with a palace as an inheritance?!
Writers: what's with the deal of Steven doubting Brendan? You just had Steven say that he believes BB & can see it in his eyes, that he didn't do it. So, now you have to create friction between the two this close to the end of BB? Well, as seeing it al done; I hope Wednesday show has better news. For what the two characters have been through the lst two years; it should end that they have total trust & love for each other.
I don't agree with the old boring tactic of having two lovers fight until that last death bed confession of... "I always loved you. You made me know what love is." blah F*^&ING blah. They should have let Brendan and Ste stick together through this. On the same side with Walker and Kevin against them. This is just horrendously cruel to their history. They should be ashamed of themselves.
i actually didn't think that Ste has doubts about S.A ??Until Bren's uncompleted sentence "do u believe i am capable of....?" i "need" to refuse believing this until HO make it clear ....And seems they are going to do it tomorrow or soon....! Knowing Pa history doesn't help to us in their each scene ....especially if Ste was there! AND btw i read your meeting with Emmett story....thanks for sharing it i am glad found it incidentally a few weeks ago...
Walker has actually become scarier than Brendan, but he can't kill Kevin until after he testifies against Brendan. Kevin says he can't change his testimony, but I'm not so sure. If the court knew the whole truth, all three of them would go to prison. I'm glad Brendan is back, but now Ste thinks Brendan raped Kevin, and the story still sucks.
I feel pity for Kevin, everybody hit him, just Maxie is only person who still wants to stay beside him ( don't care what he did to her) and not letting him alone. I wish they both just get out of the village and marry somewhere else, End of story tho T.T Iam so tired and impatient of the writer! How many days does Bredan have left ? Why doesn't he have a single of happy day?? Just Yell, Fight, Hurt and No Trust! I bow to the Writer, my heart can not stay any stronger to see ridiculous drama!
The writers have disappointed me so greatly, beyond belief, i am in true mourning over the shabby and insensitive way they have completely decimated stendan. We loyal stendan fans deserved so much more than this............ i am just so sad, it's like getting shagged without having the big "O"!!!!!!!!!!! Unsatisfying in the end.

I've invested 3 years in Brendan's storyline, though, so, as angry as I am at the shoddy storytelling, I'm sticking w/ it to the end.

its sad that Ste's trust in BB has been shaken, but why is everyone so quick to poo poo Ste and forget the chain of events btwn Ste and Brendan leading up to this point? i love me some BB, but the constant push and pull (almosting testing) he does to Ste...still hasn't told him about the sexual abuse. Ste's kids were taken away...again. BB threw a glass at him, he sees BB getting rid of drugs, then Kevin turns up accusing BB of abuse (physical/sexual). can you blame Ste for needing a minute?
I have a feeling that Brendan is just gonna die. Him leaving with out Ste would be really fake to me. They love each other too much and it would give viewers hope that he would come back (and we all know he isn't planning on returning) ='(
lol I was thinking the same thing but she prob was too weak to call out and prob too scared to and she prob kept drinking it cuz at first she believed the "flu" story kevin made up and later prob continued to drink from him even tho she knew she was being drugged because she was thirsty and tht was the only yhing he was giving her to drink. She has to drink.
LOL I do feel sorry for them though and Brendan was so funny when he hit Kevin and said it was for accusing him of sexually assaulting him and then he decides to hit him again when he was almost on the floor and goes "and that" Love stendan, hate the writers for torturing us.
Why the hell did Emmett stay for this crappy story line.Any one of us could have wrote better.Why after all they have been through make Ste and Bren weaker instead of stronger.When I saw the look in Brens eyes when he keeps asking him to believe him,its heartbreaking>What a sad stupid ending to this story.

Go back and watch the episodes Hun Brendan did not! Rape walker it was mutual and consensual. Hence walker kissing Brendan when he came back to the village. That's how it seemed to me.
