KC3 might be ill, but he certainly isn't a fool, and he knows that the best way to deal with H and all his associated stress and mess, is to keep him firmly at arm's length, well away from the monarchy. He might just throw him a bone and say if you sort out your own inner demons and your actual Demon/wife (eg the Strength card), then we'll see what might be done at some future point, just to shut him up.

The fact is that I don't buy the "weak king" narrative. My opinion is that the king has brains and anyone with brains would know he would upset his wife, his heir, his 'beloved' daughter-in-law, his sister and very likely his brother and sister-in law.... and, above all, the majority of his people for an ungrateful entitled dim-witted son and his trouble-making wife. Moreover, I grant the king with a healthy dose of self-protectiveness. Unless I'm wrong about him, I cannot believe he would reinstate him and his wife as working royals. He might forgive him personally but will not burden the rest of the family and himself with the duo.

A lot of people seem to dislike KC3 personally for historic reasons - possibly the Diana thing - and that has translated into this 'weak/incompetent' narrative that they all adopt. But judging by the actual evidence of what he has, and has not done, he has been both active and resolute. He sorted the CoS issue (sidelining H and Andrew and replacing them with Anne and Edward) the minute he became King - by Dec 2022 it was law. He dealt with Frogmore, he refused all pleas to give them another residence, he said H had to give 28 days notice if he wanted to stay in a royal residence on visits, he refused demands for face to face meetings with H, he didn't invite them to Trooping, official birthdays, Sandringham, Balmoral, etc, he doesn't support H financially, doesn't take his calls, or emails, and has only seen him once since his Coronation, for 12 minutes last February. The stuff he hasn't done that everyone keeps baying for - taking the titles, LoS, stopping the faux royal tours, addressing the issue of the kids - are either out of his remit, and/or highly complex and nuanced. Considering he has only had actual power for 2 years and has been gravely ill for half of that, he's not done badly at all in my view. He's no pushover, and people underestimate him.

I couldn't agree more. I imagine it will be similar to the meeting they had in February, only slightly longer. On grounds of his health, it will be kept short and closely monitored, and if it turns ugly, H will be swiftly removed.
