Summary: Holly still fancies Ed and fishes for gossip from Aaron, who is forced to explain that Ed is gay. Soon afterwards, Aaron gets anxious when he realises that he and Ed are going to Bar West for their first date. The evening starts relaxed, but when Ed has a quiet word with the barman, things take a turn for the worse and soon the atmosphere between Aaron and Ed seems tense. Aaron is confused when Ed suddenly makes his excuses and leaves. Aaron follows him out and discovers that Ed's coolness is because he found out about Jackson at the bar. Aaron is angry that Ed expected him to have explained about Jackson on his first date and walks away.

Love how Aaron is so lighthearted in anticipation of the date. He's not exactly one to turn cartwheels when he's happy, but you can tell. He becomes much nicer and toned down when he's happy, and even though he doesn't smile much, you can see in his face. Such perfect writing and acting.

There are times I wished Ed wasn’t a plot device for Aaron (Danny) to leave. They were really cute. Then again we wouldn’t have Robron...so...there’s that.

@@deanscott4956 the only thing that didnt make sense about robert and aaron was how they threw that woman in the mix. they were fine up until then. you can be happy aaron may be getting another relationship without tearing down the one he actually had and made history with

Danny Miller's acting is so incredible, I am at a loss for adequate words! When Aaron's voice broke at the very mention of Jackson's name that way, I almost lost it. BRAVO!!!

When will people stop whining about Jackson? Sorry this isn't your picture perfect hunky dory little sitcom where everyone gets a happily ever after. Life doesn't work like that. People lose their loved ones every day. Emmerdale portrays real life, and the writers have done an incredible job. They're not the problem, YOU are. Grateful for Holly's stupidity to give me a laugh amid these sour comments.

Good, poor Aaron - that bar clearly stirred up so many painful memories for him, and he's not emotionally ready to open up to Ed about that yet - resulting in his awkwardness and subsequent outburst. Poor sod, it just makes me want to hug him.

That was just the right amount of angst and drama. Danny never seems to disappoint in this type of scenes. It is nice to see Aaron being nice to his mom bit it seems out of character all of a sudden. The death of Adams dad seems to have matured Aaron quite a bit. Now Aaron is the one lending support instead of the other way around. Very nice episode.

I feel so much tension and angst with Ed and Aaron.Ed is acting so possesive like is Adam ur boyfriend-any past relationships-he wants things to happen fast-Aaron really has these moments where he feeling so good-then Ed's just crowding him-Aaron just wants to take it slow on the first date-really great acting with Danny and Lloyd.

ugh! I hate that these are so short and leave you hanging until the next day or the next week. I'm loving this story and Danny Miller is spot on...His quiet honest resolve speaking to Holly and the hurt in his voice confronting Ed. Danny Miller is talented and also becoming a champion performer. I am going to miss him...I hope he keeps working; He needs to keep working.

@3FromTheOutside Yeah, the voice break was a subtle touch. I wasn't a fan of this soap, but having recently started a crash course on Aaron's story, I have been amazed to watch Danny Miller. He's very good!

Real, raw, powerful storylines with the best acting and writting you can get from a soap, and with the most popular (look the awards and the ratings) gay character on a soap who was always at the center and heart of the show and essential piece of it = Aaron Livesy/Emmerdale. Just the best

Interesting how Aaron said "that's his name" present tense when Ed said the barman had told him about Jackson. Wow the writers never just let Aaron have it easy do they. But he did the right thing calling Ed on his behaviour.

As a Canadian, in order for me to understand I really have to focus and listen carefully to the dialogue. Wouldn't do it if the storyline wasn't so intense and interesting :)

I am so proud of Aaron. Can't beleive how much he's grown. Not only did he "ask" for an explanation, he was also very open and candid and brutually honest with his answer. Ed really should have just asked questions rather than running away like a girl. Even we girls would have said "hey, so what's up with the mercy killing?" .. But Aaron came through like a trooper in a very honest way. Because that's how MOST of us would have reacted to being walked out on in the middle of a date.

My heart breaks for Holly, and what Aaron said to her is true. Aaron tells Holly Ed is gay, She then says, "I wasn't really interested in him anyway". Bar West! Can tell Aaron nervous about it. Calls it a dump. lol. Aaron looks sad and lost being in the bar. Memories flooding his mind how he must be feeling. Outside Ed admits the bartender told him about Aaron had a boyfriend. Hearing voice crack broke my heart, as relived each moment saying Jackson's name, what he did. Glad Aaron said, he would have told him but not tonight. Ed's excuses were insensitive toward Aaron. Last scene of Aaron powerful. He looked lost and beaten.

That's the real problem, No one is ever vetted before getting busy with someone. Hook-ups on the first night in love the very next night. Calling the police on them a week later.

@PlatypusRising55 Yeah, but that reaction is only a natural human response. This IS the first time Aaron's went on a date since then, so there's still so stuff to be gotten over about. But Ed knows one thing, he knows not to mention it again.

This troll in Aaron´s uploads is always so funny: Aaron went to therapy after all those things happened last summer, not at the same time. And yes it worked enough. They refered to the sessions many times, we only saw the first one though. Hating for more than a year must be tiring when you are trying to fight the best acting and writting around, isn´t it?

Here we go again. Now that Danny's leaving I lament the lost stories we could have had if the writers weren't so intent on the assisted suicide dribble. Aaron and Jackson stories could have been sweet. Now we're stuck with one or maybe two more angst ridden, over reacting Aaron stories, that even tho they showcase Danny's amazing talent, then leave us stupefied. Ed is attracted to Aaron, and therapy should have taught Aaron how to work out the past with future love interests.

Everybody [ Well almost everybody ] has a past when it comes to boyfriend/girlfriends and wanna know everything on the first date is.. Not that good idea. Ed should not walked out just because he heard about Jackson, that was not right but gets you hooked.. Thats right.

@LifeisMusic07 You think so? I don't see issues. I see "pissed" and rightfully so. First you chase me down, then we go out, then you jump to conclusions, then you leave the date. He isn't the one with the issues. And I'd have reacted in pretty much the same way .. but then we chicks tend to be hot heads when a guy chases us down then acts like an ass ...
