I had a beat to shit old Ford f350 flatbed from either 91 or 92, had a 7.3 idi in it with a 5 speed stick with 2 low gears Fer crawling around in thick mud. It was black an blue with the extra horsepower stripes. The air box was routed to the glove box. And when I got it old fella said "she drinks half a can fore she will fire up an run, but she will run." He was right. That beat up old truck could have been a relative of slave lake with it being from the north region above the shit hole cuntry I livin in currently. That old turd would start up after half a can of ether and would run like a top all day an night. Was a great yard truck Fer where I was working at the time. I called the thing Clatter Box. It was extremely loud, but never failed. Just took a alotta ether to get er there. Like a heavy alcoholic that works, ain't shit getting done if old boy sober as the sun.

Peg - Ain't nothing wrong with that 4th battery just because you shorted it. Those lead acids love being shorted. It's basically what happens when you use 'em to start a diesel anyways. Hook 'er up proper with the rest of the skank patrol. And, run two heavy wires up to the front too so they stay topped up while running. In fact, why don't you have a dedicated jumppack quad squad or something? I don't know if I've even seen a quad on your property. 4x starters up front in the basket, (wire 'em with a big f-off series/parallel switch so you can toggle them to 2x24v instead of just 4x12v when needed). Also, you need a smaller old fire extinguisher, dump out the contents, weld on a shrader valve up top so you can buy your ether by the gallon and pressurize it with compressed air. Enough with the little rattle cans, gettin' embarrassing.

Hey peg, I gotta 98 2500. Nv4500 manual transmission 241Dhd tcase. Basically went to do a clutch dump in reverse and the truck has no go. I can shift though all the gears while it’s running without any clutch peddle. I never heard anything, never smelled anything. My diag check so far has been, pulled the shift tower off, tho I put it in neutral *Swore I put it into neutral* it was still in reverse. Got all the forks back centered together. Started it, looking down in there the input shaft is still tossing fluid... I shift through the gears with a pry bar checking them and it’s 👌. Next thought was transfer case. Basically there’s no neutral position for the transfer case/ strange? . Basically is it possible that the clutch is some how so smoke it won’t grab what so ever? *I have never experienced that, I’d always be able to get it home, even when it felt like slipping on ice in higher gears/ bad clutch.
