Amen and many thanks. Your sidebar comment during the introduction on hitting rock bottom before becoming a true disciple really hit home with me. Thank you for your efforts, your wonderful teaching, and for sharing this amazing account of John.
Not correct, it is referenced at many different times in the OT. - The Nazarite vow is in Numbers 6 (You cannot cut your hair, drink, etc, to consecrate yourself to the Lord.) Samson was a nazarite, as were others. It was a serious vow.
Thank you! My schedule is fully in the control of the folks who are sponsoring me to come and speak, so I'm afraid I don't have much discretion as to the schedule.
Dr. can you explain baptism before salvation? How is one baptized by the spirit of they haven't received it by Grace thru Faith. We can teach our kids what to say and about Christ, but without the H.S. conviction and guidance how can we claim to be his? Infant baptism seems to for😢 the parents, rather than salvation I am so thankful I found you We agree in Spirit but possibility not intellectually. You r way smarter than I. God bless
The Baptist tradition (in which I grew up) believes that in baptism, the primary speaker is the person baptized. In all traditions that affirm infant baptism, it is understood that the primary speaker is God.
Romans 13 proves that both the police and military action are morally justified and even appointed by God in order to keep the peace. Peace through strength.
Congrats grandpa and grandma for this upcoming monumental event to celebrate your grandchildren's baptism. I had prayed for God's favor to let the Holy Spirit to fall on and dwell in your grandchildren that they can see and trust God, for this is God's glory. Perfect timing to share this message John 18, which recorded the pinnacle of God's glory for the Son of God to willingly undertake the first act of saving the fallen humanity to use His life to purchase all of our sins. It depends entirely on Jesus's majesty. Our sins had been fully bought that there isn't anything left on us, the cracked pots that we have been made right with God. As I was listening to your explanation of John 18, I was just amazed to consider how calm and forward looking of our Lord Jesus was to get ready to buy all of our sins, despite all the disciples including Peter, who were falling out and running for cover. The contrast between the desire of our Lord Jesus to get this transection done and the disciples looking for something else, so were the rest, could not be further apart. Amazed to hear this act of greatest love that we have our God who would want to purchase all of our sins.
