I never considered Ridgid to be legit, but that’s because the color scheme reminds me too much of HDX. However, after testing the high torque hammer drill against Milwaukee , and a couple of others, I’m becoming a fan.

I never had to use the LSA but I became a ridgid guy back in late 2007 when they were first starting to sell this new battery technology: lithium ion. It was the classic kit (2 batts, a charger and a drill). That drill took had taken a ton of abuse and around 2014 the motor was weak. I forgot about the LSA and found a replacement motor on Amazon. Replaced motor and she’s still drilling. I’ve since added a ton more ridgid tools to my arsenal and will continue to grow it. Best part with ridgid is there are aftermarket batteries adapters to use a ridgid batter with a Ryobi product. Before ridgid made a cordless trim nailer, I bought the Ryobi one and used my ridgid batteries with the adapter. ✌️

I have ran Ridgid tools for the past almost 30 years now l've collected like 50 Ridgid cordless tools now and they all are still like new but I've done a lot of work with them I can't find the 24-volt batteries anymore so I bought a few of those knock off batteries from E Bay 18-volt and they are 8 amp hours and they have a better battery gauge built into them so far they've been working awesome I used a drilling and a 2" auger bit to till hard ground for tomato plants about 18 in deep it only took three charges I was pretty impressed seeing the whole time the drill was just pretty much under maximum load that drill was actually the first Ridgid tool I ever bought (as reconditioned ) they are impressive tools 🎉💪😎👍

Glad to hear that you’ve had good luck with them. I have also called and got new batteries for my drills with no hassle they gave me the next better battery and a charger to charge them with and ship them to me for free. Jim

6½ and 7¼are not the same. The 7¼is right side blade. And if you don't like calling to register, go online and register. After you have completed and submitted the form, immediately go to the chat support and ask them to confirm the registration. Boom. Takes 20 minutes and your tool is LSA approved

So true 7 1/4 inch is the standard size I guess you could say 6 1/2 inch is the new size that they came out with and I ended up buying. Jim.

Hey Jim! Not about this video but I know you’ve done a lot of snapper videos. I’m having a problem with my old snapper when I’m mowing. When I’m mowing it does fine until I hit the SMALLEST patch of weeds and then it just stops cutting. As soon as I hit normal grass again it starts mowing again.

Sounds like you need to tighten your belt by loosening the clamp around the tube under the seat and pull it out a little bit and see if that helps. Jim

Good luck getting them to honor it lately! Home Depot service centers used to honor the LSA. They refuse to honor LSA now. Most independent repair facilities (if you can find one closer than 100 miles away) won't repair them anymore either, because they say Ridgid won't pay them anything to repair them. It's sad. They used to be worth buying just because of the LSA. Now, Ridgud does everything they can to avoid honoring it. The only upside to the LSA is the battery replacement, at this point.
@jimjackson9381
@jimjackson9381 Год назад
Well, I am not sure about that, I talk to the repair center that’s 30 minutes from me and he told me he does over $5000 in repairs every week‘s and if nothing else you can always ship it to them and they will repair it and ship it back to you, I’ve been kind of playing with the idea of becoming a authorized repair center to rigid. Jim.

@jimjackson9381 it would be awesome if you did. It seems, as with many things, the customer service side of the company has gone downhill since *about 3 years* ago. I used to have great luck with them. I have a shop full of their tools. The last time I needed a repair, I sent in a mid torque impact that was locked up, and a MegaMax power base that had a dead circuit board. I recieved a "reconditioned impact back about a month later, and my same megamax with a tag saying it was repaired with a new board. The megamax was not repaired, and they are discontinued 😢 It would be really interesting to see from your perspective how they treat the independent repair technicians.
