[432] 1930's-40's park restroom with mixed vintage toilets

This is the northwestern-most bathroom at Emery county park. Although none are likely original, no modern toilets in sight here! Also not sure on the exact age of this building either. The men's room has 1970's American Standard Allbrooks and Afton, plus a rare round bowl 1970's Kohler Downing toilet! The women's has THREE more round-front Downings, another Afton, and a vintage Eljer Sanus that could possibly be original, but I'm not sure.

All kinds of great stuff in there! I like the exterior of that building. I love the glass block windows. I can't believe they would leave an old soil pipe open like that! I could hear the water gurgling down the pipe at the end of the video. It just lets sewer gas into the building, not to mention the possibility of things getting dropped in the pipe and slogging the line.

I noticed that too! Every toilet I flushed in the women’s, I could hear that pipe gurgling but I don’t think you can hear it in the video until the end. However, I didn’t really detect any gases in that stall. Either my allergies got the best of my scent, or that pipe is mostly clogged near the top with debris that has fallen down there

Despite the horrible flushes on the last Downing, first Afton and the Sanus, awesome finds, minus the Allbrooks which are good but pale in comparison to the rest. It’s really cool to see the “behind the scenes” area, but they probably should lock that up. I love the exterior design of the building too! Looks quite nice.

That behind the scenes area is known as a “pipe chase”. They are pretty common in park restrooms but not anywhere else that doesn’t have back spud fixtures

Every single fixture here is awesome! Those elongated toilet seats don't fit the round-bowl toilets, though. The last Downing, first Afton, and the Sanus could all use an adjustment.

I love the Allbrooks, Aftons, Downings and Sanus but the seats don't fit the round bowl toilets though lol . I think the seat on the Afton in the men's room might b original and the seats on the Downing in the men's room probably came off an elongated toilet that was there or maybe it replaced a vintage round bowl toilet seat .

Yeah... they could’ve afforded a round bowl closed front toilet seat with a seat lid if that’ll suit it nicely.

@@DylanR99 Yep. One time when I was at this park back in 2006 one of the men's rooms had 2 toilets in one stall .

Amazing bathrooms! I agree with everyone else though, I can't believe they would just leave that pipe open in the floor! If I was a little kid I definitely would've dropped some Hot wheels down there or something.

And I think that is why the gases weren't coming up into the bathroom is because I looked down there and saw a lot of junk in the pipe

Amazing Restrooms! The spot where there was no longer a toilet in place looks like a “Standard “ Modernus might have been there.

Liam Brom That's true even though I've never seen that toilet b4 . I remember when I came here back on September 3rd 2006 I saw 2 toilets in one stall .
