Really tough today and very cold. A short unproductive spell on the Great Ouse followed by an equally short and equally unproductive time on the Mill Stream. A shorter video today with much edited out.
Rivers nationwide have been extremely quiet over the last two weeks. I've had two blanks in recent weeks. Unheard of, when like yourself, I've been on the bread.
Hello Bob , that is one of my favourite pegs but about September on hemp and Tare some decent roach to be had , had a couple of small chub also , on the whip . You mentioned the bush opposite you that is the place to be putting a bait , try worm , perhaps come summer we’re meet up and get you on the hemp and tare, I also fish the millstream but not as far up as you are now , again some good sized roach , you mention that your bread flake was coming off when you wound in , well that means your putting it on right , it should come off mate , That was a nice video Bob , even though you didn’t catch , it’s not all about catching is it , well done Bob 👍🏻
Thanks for the comment Nobby. It's a long long time since I fished for roach with hemp, as against using it as an attractor, and I've never used tares. So it would be an education! And I'm afraid I'm a bit old fashioned and haven't entered the pole/whip world, so it would have to be the trusty match rod and centrepin.
@@BobGoesFishing Bob you don’t need to use a whip , match type rod and centrepin will be great , it would be my pleasure to cook you some Tares once the new season starts , I never go without hemp , so we’re beg to differ on that one matey but I’ll willingly teach you how to use Tares , what you need to realise is with hemp , if you know how to fish it and use it your only feeding 4/6 grains each trot , if you see others (and I have ) chucking handfuls of it in then these people haven’t a clue , be lucky Bob …👍🏻
Hi Nobby. Sorry, a very late reply because your second comment ended up in my 'Held for review' area, which I only looked at today! I had enabled the holding for review option after receiving a couple of less than friendly comments from people soon after I launched the channel. Anyway, thanks for the offer. I would be pleased to learn how to fish hemp/tares properly.
@@BobGoesFishing , Don’t you worry about that Bob , why are some people so nasty I’ll never know , I’ll be in touch soon as the new season starts and we’re sort something out , it’s a way of fishing you will love , oh btw I watched your recent video on the triangle ,you at least got a chub Bob ,so well done , I have a theory as to why you wasn’t hooking them small taps etc , I noticed that when you wound in your bread flake bait was still on , it shouldn’t be Bob , it should come off as you wind in , I think your squeezing the bread on the hook to hard , you want the point of the hook showing and the bread simply pressed around the shank , try it I’m sure your hook them fish , I was talking to Barney (bailiff ) yesterday , he is resigning soon as bailiff due to his health , Bob I wish you well and were meet up soon , 👍🏻
