Sahil you spoke so passionately about all the book that it is instigating me to pause this talk, read the book that you recommend, finish it and then come back for the next recommendation.
I love it when people express so well about what they've read! The reason you guys @chalchitra deserve respect is because you guys let people speak and express, you guys make such good listeners. Love from Karnataka❤️
I've seen all your book recommendation vedios but never have I added so many names to my To Be Read List (not even joshi sold books like him) Didn't expect this episode to be this good Thank you ❤
How passionate he his.. Totally loved all the recommendation.. wanted to read all the books he have recommended. Board games are on the most to do list
First I listened to the Rohan Joshi podcast and I thought nothing can beat this, but now this one surely beats that in terms of book recommendations I mean how passionate he is when he talks about books is just pure joy to watch, thank you for doing this. Keep it up❤
The way sahil talked about books is just the best thing ever , that’s exactly how every reader talks about their fav books so he’s representing all of us in the best possible way . 💛
@ Sahil Shah All board game recommendations were oooooooon point!!!!! I've played all of them and they are simply amazing❣ We once played codenames in groups of boys vs girls, and we (the girls ;) of course) won 6-0. It was damn competitive and hilarious at the same time!!! We should start bringing in the board game culture in India. It is such a wonderful social activity.
I go regularly to the board games cafe that Sahil referred to. It is really good. I have played splendour and other games like ticket to ride which is another gem. I am also planning to build a collection of board games. Thank you very much for all the recommendations.
Sahil shah, I am so sorry! It's true when they say, Don't judge the book by its cover. I underestimated you and for that I am sorry. You are a well full of reccos -- That too a varied one. Thank you Chalchitra talks for inviting him. Throughout this video, I didn't even realize how quickly these 45 minutes passed. I was listening you tell about the books reccos so passionately, I can't wait for part 2. #chalchitra100ksubs
Many many years ago me and my friends were at NCPA for Sahil Shah and Azeem Banatwalas stand up and they both came and chatted a bit with us outside the vemue. You comedians make the world a better place. May the force be with you Sahil!
I haven't read The Midnight Line, but I'm pretty sure the first scene Sahil talked about is from Gone Tomorrow. It's just that memorable haha, that's how you know these are some amazing recommendations!
I read 1984 in January and what Sahil mentioned is completely true. I was simply blown away by where we've reached and it just started from a thought - perhaps a thought, being a seer, of George Orwell, but it is definitely a must read to understand the paradigm we live in
Great show and loved the recommendations ! read the Midnight library and The internet is a playground that he recommended and really enjoyed it ! Watching it again to update my list
damn dude, i like sahil shah and i was kinda like, ok, dekh lenge, yet another recco vid. but man was i wrong, i just am really surprised by the fact that he was for me, the best recoo guest. the sheer passion with wich he describes everything is just a pleasure to watch. i am not a reader, but i will make sure that i read every fiction and non fiction book that he recommended, also, i am not into boad games, but the way this guy described the board games i want to play every board game now, and i will definately checkout codenames
I got so sad after reading 1984 and years later i watched v for vendetta and that brought a closer. So to who ever i recommend reading the book I tell them to go watch this film after that.
WHAT a reccs episode! hit all the right notes with the excitement, nostalgia of those childhood reads, good mix of relatable books and some to add to the TBR. Also totally convinced to get back and finish 1984 to reach the ending. Thanks Sahil! (Personally vouching for Hitchhikers and A Man Called Ove, just go for it guis).
I have a question. I'm one of the purists who reads paperbacks and Hardcovers only. But since everyone has suggested Kindle on the channel I'm considering it. Now since I have a Samsung tablet should I just download the Kindle app or invest 10-12k on a Paperwhite device? Please give me your suggestion
I like his recos but he was completely WRONG about Sapiens. That's a fantastic book that gives a blended perspective of what humans were and have become. It's definitely a life-changing read that Sahil just discarded like trash
Safe to say he didn't understand anything in the book 1984 nor does he have grasp on current political climate. Now I think all these Indian angrez stand up types just graze through books just to get cred or for aesthetic purposes. All gas no substance
Funny part is that we praise the first world country without even thinking what they did in second and third world countries..hahaha George orwell was always relevant! so not just North korea Sahil even USA is the same!
