A while back I posted the first version of this parade with the graduation music, "Pomp & Circumstance" used in Fantasia 2000 that just came out. It may seem like an exaggeration but it was an absolute nightmare to work this parade with that culturally out of place music, and watch every guests face ether laugh and mouth out WTF. Even the little kids. More than anything, it was just boring. The first music seemed anything but Disney, but they fixed that by literally plugging in a section of just about every Disney song ever. This more appropriate new music came along a month or so later, and while not exactly high energy, was miles above what we previously had. But after listening to parade now, especially after the amazing Magic Happens parade, it's just down right sleepy. As far as the look, this parade was going for something very artistic. Jean Luc the show director (who also just did the Mulan Parade) called it "celestial rolling sculptures". I did think the floats were gorgeous, and I really liked the cloud base on each to tie it all together. But in the end, it wasn't the kind of parade that should have ran for as long as it did, 5 years, up until the year of the park's 50th. It's last day was not a sad day.
