SX is not as good since the EPA force on bike manufacturing/sales, but I do like your vid better than the networks. A little text in there once in a while is good, nice touch. I don't like the people who took over our sport and run it today. I miss it when we ran the sport and raced 2-strokes, back when most any kid could afford one. The fast 4-stroke tracks do take a bit different talent, but the 2-stroke and the old tracks took more talent. That is why it was unheard of to have 8 guys on the same second for lap times. We used to be able to see who had the most talent. Now it is about who makes the least amount of mistakes for the most part. Once you have the track wired, (as 8-10 of them do), it is all about the best start and the least amount of mistakes. Webb did post the fastest lap by 1 second though. But back when the tracks separated the talent (and you can see how had the most talent) and nobody really had them wired, 1 second was nothing. I think it is the antithesis of MX/SX racing to make tracks to keep everybody the same speed. They say the racing is better. I say nobody can be great, and I call that theft.
Tomac did have about as good of a 2022 as possible IMO though, because of a refreshed spirit, not more talent. So if he wins this series, (and I think Webb will be tough), I will call that "great". Not quite as great as the last of our greatness, (Villapoto), but about as good as humanly possible on these redundant tracks. He did surprise me. I think he surprised everybody. But still, a guy in a previous 2-3 year slump to have a 2022 season like he did at the eve of his retirement,---is a little strange for a competitive sport.
It really is like watching McGrath in his final days on YAMAHA....Eli at the end of his career dominating on that blue bike. Watch Eli turn down in every corner, he tilts his head....looks SO much like McGrath.
Scrambling/nee Motocross was so much more about bike racing...this is so messy and disjointed, it's all about timing and 180 corner blocking...soooo boring. You Yankees have ruined another great sport, congratulations. He awaits hate.......
