Hey Mr.Hollowpoint, I've been spackling and painting, Shot some yesterday since I moved. My 457 sends 280 gr down the field pretty fast and hits hard as it is. I'm not going to bother with this up grade when I'm flattening these out at 60 yards, round nose. But I'm keeping the vid so if I decide to hunt elephants, I'll go with the 525's. Great videos sir, going to miss the hunt this year... looking forward to next year! JUST AWESOME
Buyer beware on these. I "upgraded" mine. Was great at first but very quickly the gun started making less and less velocity until it is now the same as the stock valve. When I asked bin tac what could be going on, he said you aren't supposed to use light slugs with the upgrade, but didn't say what exactly constitutes light. Still trying to figure out what's wrong, bin isn't much help. He just said if I wasn't happy with the parade I could send it back for a refund and he'd sell it to someone who wants it🙄
Mr. Hollowpoint, can you tell me if you have broken the air gauges yet with the max power valve? I'm just curious because mine has broken everyone I put on there, only with the max power valve. So please let me know, I look forward to your response
700+ fpe. Big numbers. Wonder how it groups with the valve. Some rifles-ammo combinations don’t give there most accurate performance at full wick. Would be interesting to see what most accurate tune provides regarding fpe. Would be disappointing to find the extra power can’t be delivered accurately
@@catherineharris4746 - there is a sweet spot for slugs that may not represent the fastest velocity obtainable from a given platform. At least that’s been my experience. I’m sure this isn’t true with all rifles or all slugs but I’ve seen it hold true with .457 Texan when shooting round ball for example. My rifle will push 147 grn round ball well over 1200 fps but best accuracy is under 1000 fps. Same is true for 65-75 grain .308 slugs. These can be pushed very fast as well but accuracy will suffer. And it’s possible that what is actually effecting accuracy Is barrel/gun harmonics which as correlation to velocities.
The new super tuned 457 and 510 comes with the valve already installed but if you bought one a couple years ago or even a year ago they didn't have him and were available they came stock I have the 457 stock both up without the power valve it's pushing close to maybe 400 foot pounds fbs, got the 510 super tuned waiting for me!
@@benkelley551 yes I know and 457 do not come with the valve unless you have it put in. But the gun I’m talking about is the 510 gun mr hollowpoint got from the pellet shop not long ago
@@keithwilliams3403 sweet that's actually the next purchase I have the 510 super tune kit waiting for me at 413 AEA Northeast airguns, I got the regular 457 Bullpup, S45, 357 Pro, Element Max 495 ,25 Cal hpss and a couple others LOL I got the bug about a year ago haha
Thank you I found it looks Like a lot of work to put that in, Bob. Looks like you just about have to got the gun. If I tried to do that, I'm sure i'd mess it up.
