46100 Royal Scot - NYMR Half Term Services

46100 'Royal Scot' was in operation at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from 10th. to 18th.February during schools half term week. I visited on Sunday 11th. and Monday 12th. on the Sunday Black Five 44806 worked the 'Moorlander' dining train. An additional bonus was a morning empty stock move with the Scot taking its train from Grosmont to Pickering, slowing at Goathland to collect the token. The following scenes are included in the video;
46100 at Esk Valley Viaduct, Beck Hole (two views), Darnholme and passing Goathland with the empty stock.
44806 is seen at Darnholme

Thanks John, we got lucky at Darnholme as it was the afternoon shot but thought as it had been cloudy all day it would be ok but then the sun decided to come out on the left but it did actually produce a nice backlight on the exhaust

A splendid sequence Austin with superb footage throughout - what a glorious sound she makes climbing up to Goathland. The shot in the afternoon light and with a lovely mixture of clag at Darnholme is wonderful.

Thanks David, it was just an overnight visit but good to see the Scot diesel free! Rather lucky at Darnholme as it's a morning shot but as the day had been so gloomy decided to try it in the afternoon and the low sun that finally appeared really made a difference

Spot on Austin excellent footage and some lovely locations, Royal Scot definitely sounding different to Guardsman and a great sound from the 5 digging in, cheers👍

Thanks Nige, its odd that the two Scots sound different, I prefer 46115 I have to say
