Yes, I'll probably do one in the near future... the previous one I did (mentioned in this video) covered a K-Frame and A-Frame from Culture Kings, but I suspect both were really K-Frames because of how tall they were. I do like the A-Frame silhouette, thanks.
Yeah, the 9FORTY A-Frame is an awesome hat. They have finally grown in popularity in the U.S. They are being sold at my local Lids, and I need to grab a new one soon. I just love the idea of a high profile 9FORTY, especially as someone who owns the 9FORTYs more than any other baseball cap models.
+1 would love to see a comparison between the 9forty A-frame and the golfer/hitch. I’m guessing the a frame has slightly less structure and a slightly lower profile?
I have yet to see a New Era Golfer hat at my local Lids. They got the 47 Brand Hitch and the 9FORTY A-Frames. It's about time they add a new model to their collection.
For sure... it took someone in a hat shop years ago telling me that the red mark on my forehead was because I'm a long oval shape... it's why I started the channel!
I’ve bought a couple ‘47 Hitches and I’m very satisfied with them. I like the look, I like the profile. The New Era Golfers have no appeal to me. The “triangle” silhouette is too sharp for my tastes. I agree your thoughts on the fitted cap “cool-down”. They were churning them out excessively with a lot of uninspiring styles. Hey thanks Elliot, interesting thought on the increased 'sharpness' of the Golfer peak, it did not bother me as much with this one. I do hope to compile a new video on Clubhouse, ST, and now the Batting Practice caps very soon.
If you mean the Golfer, pretty sure that was just from Lids.com... I think the Tigers one is gone now, but they offered most MLB teams in the same khaki, thanks.
@@dreinthe616 cool! I just got my batting practice hat in the mail today. It's the blue Phillies hat with the Phillie Phanatic on it. I got it from Rally House in the 9FORTY stretch-snap model. It's so comfortable. I've been waiting a long time for the Phillies to put the Phanatic on an on field hat in some way. I'm glad it's finally over.
If I didn't say so anywhere in the video it's because there is really no practical separation between the two models - I don't really have a preference. The construction and materials are near identical and I would choose either model depending on the design and colorway.
By looks, yes - they are both 5-panel pinch crowns. But the structure is different. The 9forty A-frame gets structure from buckram laminated to the front panel, while the golfer uses a single standing panel to deliver the flat portion of the front.
