Wow! Nice haul with a variety of fun new items. I wish I were your daughter and you could teach me everything you know about fiber arts. I'd LOVE to learn tatting but too afraid to try it on my own. I think it's so important that we pass these skills on so they don't be one list. I'm encouraged by so many younger folks taking up crochet and knitting due to COVID. Thanks for a fun video. You've very welcome, Nancy! I wish I could teach everyone tatting who wants to learn! There are some great RU-vid tatting channels where you could probably learn shuttle tatting (which is superior to needle tatting, IMHO)! I actually learned from a book about 25 years ago. However, the first time I tried to learn it from the book, I didn't get the "flip", which is the most important aspect of shuttle tatting! But the second time was the charm for me! I totally agree that we need to make sure our beloved crafts are passed on to the younger generations. Happy crocheting (and yarn buying) to you!

I’ve tried the yarn bee fresh haven and was not thrilled with it for a washcloth. Not absorbent like 100% cotton. I’ve also used the lily scrubby cotton, for dish cloths, and really like it. It helps to use a larger hook, like a 6 mm or 5.5mm to navigate through the scrubby sections.
Thank you so much, Christine, for letting me know that you didn't like how the Fresh Haven yarn (100% tencel) doesn't absorb as well as 100% cotton yarn! I'll definitely keep that in mind when I go to make/design something with it! I was very fortunate to get to my Hobby Lobby at the right time. That doesn't happen very often! I'm thankful that I watched some videos on RU-vid from other crocheters who went to Hobby Lobby and found yarn on clearance! I probably wouldn't have known about the clearance without watching those videos! And going twice was helpful, too, since I found more yarn on clearance the second time I went!
