48 hours in LAKE TITICACA: From Copacabana to Isla Del Sol's breathtaking beauty!
In this video we head out to tour the town of Copacabana and Lake Titicaca. We decided to do a two day tour from La Paz which was great because it took the planning aspect away from us for once but it did mean that things were a bit rushed.
We didn’t get a lot of say over timings so had to be pretty flexible with what we got to see and it involved a lot of climbing with heavy backpacks. It was an adventure and we did make it out onto the lake a few times and even chased the sunset and sunrise on Isla Del Sol. We would recommend doing this type of tour if you’re short on time like we were but it would be nice to go back one day and just explore the area at a slower pace.

Boat jumping in the middle of a lake, followed by a hike to catch sunset 🤩 what a fun adventure! Even the view of sunrise in the reflection of the window on sun island was so pretty 😍

Good tip to try to spend more time there - seemed like Isla Del Sol needs 2 nights. I wouldn't want to visit that snake island even if they say the snakes are gone 😳 so wild that they had you hop boats in the middle of the lake and left before the call time. That final climb seemed like quite the workout!

We would definitely have preferred 2 nights there, it felt such a shame to leave so soon after trying so hard to get there with the difficult boats, if we hadn’t jumped boats we’d have missed it completely, the boatman make up their own rules for sure! 😄

Aw another fab video! It's bringing back lots of lovely memories from a trip that I did to that part of the world in 2007! Long time ago now, but it's interesting watching your videos and seeing which places you've been to and what's changed or stayed the same in the places that I went to as well. It looks like you had a great time, even if more time was needed. Was the floating island Uros Floating Island? I went there, but the floating island that you visited looks different, unless Uros has changed since I visited. I can't remember how many floating islands there are on Lake Titicaca, but they're great and so funny to walk on aren't they! It all looks amazing! Copacabana looks lovely. Always wanted to go there too. Can't wait to see where you go next! Wishing you safe and happy travels 😊 x

Thank you, it was difficult to film it all whilst running around so quickly but we wanted to share the uniqueness of the place. We always need more time in these beautiful places, I cannot remember the name of the floating island but yes it was very strange to walk on it and especially to see a little restaurant bobbing around on this little pontoon, very cool though! We just shared our final Bolivia video but we have more adventures coming up in the next country! Thank you for always watching and supporting our efforts ☺
