I grew up in Paso back in the 80s and 90s and downtown was dead. The movie theater helped transition the area and it has brought a lot of people from out of town. I still visit once a year cause my family still lives there and if I could afford to live there I would. Love it
Leila, I'm a long time resident of Paso Robles as well as a Hotelier here. I just wanted to let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed your video. You were able to bring out the essence of our little town. Thanks. Bill
Bill that means so much to me! Thank you for your kind words. I had a lovely time in Paso Robles and cannot wait to go back. I truly enjoyed the community vibe and meeting the local winemakers. It's a special place.
On Union Road a few miles east of Paso Robles is the Redwings Horse Sanctuary, on 141 acres of beautiful rolling hills with spectacular views at the top. They do tours where you'll meet dozens of equines, from statuesque Thoroughbreds to adorable miniatures and everything in between. It's a fun place to visit, and the drive there is quite scenic too!
Thank you for the comment! Glad you liked the video. It's a place called Refugio that offers cooking classes and accommodations on a farm but I'm not sure they're offering the classes right now because of COVID. You might have to give them a call. Enjoy your trip!
I have hands and they grab things sometimes, other times they just kinda be there, but anyways when they grab things it can get quite exciting to say the least. I have even grabbed other hands!
Actually, there are a ton of great restaurants and hotels that opened up in the downtown area that are notable. And there's also the Field of Light art installation.
@tube_trance, the Paso Robles area is very scenic, with many beautiful backroads to enjoy. Some of the fun things to do around Paso include year-round concerts at Vina Robles, the annual Mid-State Fair in July, touring the Estrella Warbird Museum, and the nearby Redwings Horse Sanctuary.
Love you, love the video, love Paso! I hate the background music!! It ruined the video. It is so loud which make you turn the volume down, then you come in talking and you can't be heard. Music is fine as long as we can hear you speaking over it. Cheers! More you, less music:)
Sometimes I forget that I live in such a beautiful place , where people actually come to visit on vacation ! ( I like how the pronunciation of Paso Robles changed after being there a bit. Maybe someone explained it 😁)
Go home LA, SF….East Coasters….. we have been raised ( since 1920’s) here and it was a lovely cattle ranching area until these outsiders took over our native local lands
Hi Leila, the video is pretty good; however the audio balance is really awry and annoying. Your voice is barely heard but the music is loud. I had to keep increasing and reducing the volume to listen to what you were speaking and to reduce to soften the extra loud music. Please take care of this and your video will be much more enjoyable. Thanks for sharing the video
It's a must. The roads around there are insane. You either need a designated driver, limo or a spit bucket! The roads are NOT designed for tourists. You'll be lucky if you get cell service around there.
