AN INTENSE 48 HOURS OF RACING FOR TEAM MALIZIA AND BORIS HERRMANN
From starting off in stormy conditions to being stuck in light winds at the very end, Team Malizia secured a seventh place finish in this year’s 48 hour Défi Azimut - Lorient Agglomération race. The international double-handed crew, composed of Germany’s Boris Herrmann and England’s Will Harris, as well as French-German onboard reporter Antoine Auriol, crossed the finish line in Lorient this Saturday afternoon at 15:22 CEST after 2 days, 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 56 seconds at sea.

Great video. Fab drone shots and timing them with the sound from inside the cockpit makes them better as you can hear the impact. Would you be able to run a commentary over this video to explain what you were doing at each bit of the race? That would make it more appealing I think. Can’t wait for your next adventure!!

Great to see you guys again but I do miss Rosie and Nico. It will be interesting when you compete against them on Holcim. Glad they got that opportunity. I have to say I was rooting for Clarisse after her treatment from Banc Populaire but you’ll always have a special place in my heart. Go Malizians!!

At some point in one of the ocean race vids Boris made a comment about missing good coffee on the boat at sea. Have you ever tried an Aeropress? They use it on the International Space Station. Makes good espresso with water well below 100°C.
