Thank you Anymaka for gifting us your full pack hammock kit - we (and our friends too) love it. If you'd like to get one for yourself, click here: www.anymaka.com
We're Isis & Bertus, a belgian-dutch couple. In the summer of 2023 we moved into a neglected farmhouse in a tiny village in the northwest of Italy. The last inhabitants left some 15 years ago, but large parts of the property have been empty for well over 20 years.
Thank you for joining us on our adventure!

This is definitely my favorite channel on YT. You guys entertain us with your clean, tidy, and resourceful work without wasting used materials you found on your property and especially without so much chatter. My admiration and respect. Thanks for sharing

Those wine bottles are dangerous out there. Because of the sun and the glass they work like magnifying glasses and cause a fire.

Hi guys, I found this channel a day or two ago, I have binge watched the whole series up to date, I love the content and the way you put it together, the incidental music has a strange vibe kind of medieval especially the harp sounding bits. No doubt a massive challenge but a worthy cause and it’s obvious that you are going to/ are going about it in a meticulous and sympathetic way. Ps I love the cat velluto!!!! Good luck to you both, regards , Kevin from England. 🧐👏👏👏👌👍

Mamma Mia, that focaccia looked incredible! Summer here by the sea in Tuscany is in full swing, with everyone from Firenze and the inland cities arriving for their holiday. We try to get out when we can, but with our 4-month-old, the heat makes it a challenge. It's amazing how much you guys are accomplishing - everything always looks fantastic! We're soaking in the inspiration while working on our own seaside villa renovation whenever we find a moment.

I'm lovin' the old grill. It reminds me of the enormous "grill" dad made when I was young many, many years ago. Mom would roast a big sack of green chile and afterwards she would cook dinner on the grill and we would enjoy it in the shade of the trees.

Any time you are carrying something through a doorway, tuck your hands and fingers inside or under the object. Not on the sides. That way you do not smash your hands or fingers when the object is a tight fit.

Oh my it seems hot! 30degrees by 10 am?! Yikes. Hard working conditions...I never thought of using WD40 to clean a BBQ grill. Neat. So question. Out of everything that you have found cleaned and kept just in case would it be fair to say you have found a use for about most of it? How do you decide what is a just let's keep it just in case item and what to dispose of. And where do you dispose of the items? Do you have to hire a skip to throw stuff into or is there a dump/ recycling centre nearby. Just wondering.

Ciao Isis, Bertus, friends and family. It is always nice to have extra hands to help. You have wonderful family and friends. Your views are just stunning. Looking forward to seeing the finished table and windows. I love the hammock; I think the base is fine as well. I love that it has a canopy, mine did not and it was under the trees for shade and let's just say the birds do not care that you want it "clean" to lay on and relax. Enjoy it. Love from N.Y.

Hi Isis and Bertus, Been here since day one and I am just amazed at how much progress you’ve accomplished… And I don’t just means how much work has happened in and around the house/buildings…. I mean how much your skills have improved and grown…. I remember the first footage with the weed wacker or the chain saw and how scared you were and compare it to how leisurely and sure footed you both look now when handling all sorts of tools ! Congratulations on this too…. As they say…. You ain’t building a home, building a home builds you ! Oh, and by the way…. Even Velluto is making tremendous progress thanks to your patience ! Happy ferragosto and all the best, Pierre
