Brock Purdy had to learn the hard way in the Super Bowl he had to learn a hard lesson and that is a lesson that even his head coach Kyle Shanahan still hasn’t learned after three failed Super Bowl trips One as an offensive coordinator and two as a head coach the lesson Brock Purdy had to learn is that when you play a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes or a team like the Kansas City Chiefs you have to beat them early in the game you cannot beat them late in the game if you go back and look at the Tampa Bay buccaneers versus the Chiefs Super Bowl what did Tom Brady do? I’ll tell you what he did he put on a offensive master class early in the game ran the score up so his defense could pin their ears back and go after Mahomes and then brady let Leonard Fournette run the heck out of the ball to wear down the Chiefs and keep Mahomes on the sideline and when Patrick Mahomes did get back on the field it was of no use because the score was too far out and the Buccaneers defense was that good that they refused to let him back in the game Final showing of Mahomes’ s outing that night was three field-goal attempts and no touchdowns from Mahomes.... completely demoralizing to say the least especially in a Super Bowl. Tom Brady knew he had to go out there and eviscerate the Chiefs defense and because he had such a dominant Buccaneers defense on the other side of the ball Brady knew if he won the game early on in the game by controlling time and possession and putting up Offense.... his defense would handle the rest later in the game plus they wouldn’t be so tired because they would have had adequate rest throughout the game because of the offense controlling time and possession on the buccaneer side of the ball, thus Brady blew Mahomes out in the Super Bowl and beat him to win ring number seven … The problem Kyle Shanahan and his 49ers teams have Had against Mahomes is they have never put up enough offense in each of the Super Bowl they’ve lost to the Chiefs they have always try to beat Mahomes late or protect a measly 10 point lead late in The fourth quarter of the Super Bowl and that’s just not gonna work against a quarterback like Mahomes or a defense like the Chiefs Kyle Shanahan a Brock Purdy a Loss that superbowl in Las Vegas because they failed to beat the Chiefs early while their defense was rested and controlling the game for most of the game they should have been putting up touchdowns every time the offense touch the ball but instead Kyle kept poking the bear that is Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid giving them crack after crack at it instead of running up the score from kick off to the clock hitz zero in the fourth quarter. Bill Walsh used to have a slogan and that slogan holds true to this day beat them to the punch hit them in the mouth essentially at the start of the game and pour it on so that you can basically have a clear mind heading into the final stretch of the game for fourth-quarter instead of being frantic trying to figure out what you’re going to do to try and close the game out and win it and making mental mistakes because you don’t have a clear mind in the fourth quarter and in Kyle‘s case overtime not even knowing the rules because he was so damn nervous and frantic Kyle is a high-level loser As a coordinator and a head coach we’ve all seen it from him... Time after time he makes the worst decisions whether it be playcalling or personnel out on the field in the biggest games and A prime example we have of that is in this past Super Bowl 58 on third and 14 in the second quarter with 14:57 seconds left in the first half The D pass to Deebo Samuel that was broken up by McDuffie the reality of it is Deebo Samuel should’ve never been running that route he’s not the greatest Route runner and even though he has McDuffie beat Deebo very seldomly goes up and high points to ball which was what would have been necessary to score on that particular play in that moment Reason being is because Brock was a little late with the ball number one and number two I feel that the Cheifs to be committed pass interference However Brandon Aiyuk should’ve been the one Running that route on that play for that ball not Deebo that’s the reason he loses the biggest games at the highest level on the biggest stages!
