Yes Skip Bayless is famous for the IFs….that’s literally the show and what post game analysis is all about…when Sherm just keeps talking over everyone it’s literally unwatchable….

i agree w your last part and I like sherm. he needs to learn when its his time to talk. That being said hes probably fed up with all the bs and hate this show spews towards one team and one quarterback on a constant basis. Yea 9/10. the media acts for every missed field goal the Niner get an automatic 7 points. No, they had to earn it. This is a 10/10 won for me. Before the 2nd half the offense was struggling with only 7 points. And on Defense chase young and bosa were getting man handled. All that changed in the 2nd half.

Still not considering what Keyshawn just said. The 49ers needed a 1/100 chances to happen for them in every possession and it happened. They needed a fumble deep in Detroit’s end, it happened. They got a very lucky bounce of the Lions’ defender’s face mask and the receiver happened to be in the perfect spot to catch it in the air, and it happened. Two huge drop passes by Josh Reynolds that would have resulted in first downs. And it happened! Brock Purdy’s efforts wouldn’t have meant anything if Lions did not give away what they gave away that game. Oh and by the way, If Jordan Love didn’t throw that interception late in the 4th quarter the game before, 49ers would have lost. Yeah.

@@YoYo-be4ow The only reason I don’t say 10/10 because I feel like the Pats come back on the Falcons in Super Bowl was a 10/10 this one was damn near perfect in my eyes. Yeah there was some luck but the results are the results. 49ers win and they balled out like the Super Bowl was on the line and for that reason they’re going to Vegas

Take some away and they probably don't get that lead but at the same time they wouldn't be dead. Just because things broke a certain way doesn't mean that was their only path to victory - there's more than one way to skin a cat

Warner and Greenlaw had one at the middle. Warner had one outside for -5. Young had one for -2. He's literally being accurate and the other 2 are not. Now if you say telling the truth and being factual is stupid... Then your quote apply more to yourself than to him.

My niners are ranked 29th in the NFL in run defense OUTSIDE the offensive tackles. The Lions knew that and took advantage from the start. That 50 yard reverse play counted for a big chunk of those first half rushing yards too.

Yeah, I mostly agree. I don't think Ocho's horrible as an analyst, but he's definitely limited, and can't match Shay's intellect, which I think Sherm could. And at the end of the day, it's a sports podcast, and there's only so many 'life convos' you can do before they start getting stale, at least with the same two people. On the other hand, every game you analyze is totally unique.

The famous "The Catch" with Joe Montana was in a game where 49ers were coming from behind and Joe had already thrown 3 INTs in the game. Purdy and Co simply made it happen they made plays and utilized the mistakes by the other team that is literally the ENTIRE point of football. Lions BTW didn't drop the ball it was stripped. So they EARNED that turnover.

The Aiyuk catch should’ve been a pi on the defense since the defender stopped Aiyuk’s stride. That’s why it looked like Purdy over threw it, but since Aiyuk managed to catch the ball, the ref took back the pi penalty. 10:30

I'm a 49ers fan, but to say the Lions are not that good is just a ridiculous statement from Skip. Montgomery and Gibbs are probably the best RB duo in the league right now, with easily one of the top 5 offensive lines in the league. Of course they were going to run it down the 49ers throats, they were going to run it down anyone in the league's throats. What a crazy statement to make.

He really didn't, though. He was great in the first half but when the 49ers started getting pressure on him, he completely crumbled. That's been the story with Goff since he was with the Rams. He's great when it's clean and falls apart under pressure. He couldn't hit the broad side of a barn for most of the 2nd half.

@sd21z Yeah, I'm honestly surprised to see so many people pretending A) that he didn't struggle against pressure in the 2nd half, and B) that he hasn't always been known for struggling against pressure. I said before the game that the Lions would put up a good fight behind that O-line, but once the 49ers started getting pressure on him, he would fall apart. That's exactly what happened.

a lot of times losing teams will get to load up on passing yards toward the end of the game because they're playing catch up and a defense is playing bend but don't break schemes so it's situational and at the end of the day a W is a W even if you wind up giving up some yards on the back end.

Niners better fix their defense against the run because Pacheco is just as fast as Gibbs. And that #87 guy is quite good. We saw Kyle Hamilton have some pretty damn good coverage on Kelce and he was still able to catch everything
