Y'all got a DC who actually puts his players in the best positions. So...just sayin' I wouldn't put Purdy into that gold jacket just yet.

It would have been PI if the contact had continued any further up the field. The INT happened very close to the 5 yards past the line of scrimmage where that sort of contact is permitted.

I'm sorry you are right. It was 4th down. At the same time it made sense to go for it because there was still plenty of time on the clock to put something together for Dallas. Going for the touchdown instead of a field goal would have made it much harder for Dallas to create a comeback. Coach LaFleur knew how explosive the Cowboys offense was. He was not about to step on the brakes and risk it with just 3 points or a missed attempt.@@joshcoates2339
