49ers twitter is soooo damn annoying, i swear most of them were probably virgins until they were adults. These grown men were crying over draft picks like they are a team owner or on the coaching staff. Like guys shut the hell up and just enjoy the draft smh.

I don’t think hes criticizing the fans to a bad extent. He’s just frustrated that many Niner fans online were frustrated with our earlier picks. I was skeptical at first too, but I’ve grown to trust the scouting and drafting skills of the Front Office. Im optimistic for the future 😊
I can sleep better, but the 49ers finally picked a IOL, but need two picks on the O-line. So the 49ers needs ain't over. I also think the 49ers need another LB to bolster the temporary loss of Greenlaw (Prayers go out to Dre to heal and start working out to build back strength in your achilleas, but be patient, and listen to your medical and training staff.) However, the 49ers got exceptionally lucky in getting Puni, who might end up being a better pick than Rosengarter. So far the Draft has been really good, but the O-line needs a lot of help at least another two tackles who can also play as a guard.
Fans need to understand that the player's mindset is a major factor in their picks....they need to have the same mindset/energy of everybody else on the team....either you're getting better or you're getting worse.....and love football......remember Terrell Owens?.....great player but poison for the team.....
I think people look at ESPN and see a guy rated 86 and niners take a guy rated 70 and think that they are smarter then the guys who have drafted superstar after superstar since they got here.
They also drafted Trey Lance, Trey Sermon, TDP. Danny Gray, Drake Jackson, Kinlaw, Jalen Hurd, Pettis, Solomon Thomas, Ruben Foster, CJ Bethard, Joe Williams and a few other guys who just barely hanging on like Burford and Latu. So lets not sit here act they haven't given people PLENTY of reason to doubt what they do in the draft.

To be honest I wasn't sure at all about the first pick of the draft but after looking more into Pearsall in really impressed. The dude has hands and he is so consistent in his route running. Green is a dawg. Watched his highlight reel and he is going to fit right in along with that beast of a safety they picked up. I like puni as well. He gives us added depth and can plug and play pretty much anywhere along the line. Really happy with this draft. Let's go Niners

Dave, Niner fans spoiled because Niners didn't go OL or CB in 1st rd? They could have moved up a few spots and Got Tyler Guyton who's a starter at tackle where the OL they got is a versatile backup.

The only thing I dont agree with on his video is that the 49ers really wanted green... I think they wanted rosengarten.. when he got picked they decided KS wasnt going to pick him and went ahead with the trade. But David is right about people... they want names that have been graded high to be picked. The talking head evaluators know nothing about how the players fit into the the teams schemes. Go figure.
I think we ALL groaned when it wasn't the position we felt was most glaring, but I'm 48 and have also learned to trust in people like Shanahan and Lynch. I quickly realized that BPA is crucial and to trust they had people on their radar that they hoped would be available at their next pick. In Lynchahan We Trust!
Thank you for calling out some of the fan base… honestly the whingeing on social media so far has been toxic. I always used to think the niners fanbase was one of the best out there. These three players picked so far are solid, injury-free players who FIT OUR STYLE OF PLAY! You can’t really ask for much more

I haven’t been in the comments, but I hardly think I’m more qualified to say who they should draft than they are. I personally really liked what I was seeing in terms of their picks so far. And folks should remember when they picked their QB1 a couple seasons ago. I’m just saying.
I was always under the impression that DB was a priority and the rest was loading up around Purdy. Thats what I have seen after 3 rounds. No idea what the commotion was about. I also never even thought that a WR was being traded this year. I still see Deebo being moved after this season and Trent Williams contract will have to be addressed for cap space. He is one of the best but I'm not comfortable for a mid 30's OL at that kind of cap hit.

The 49ers has invested heavily in D-line, but the 49ers are NOT getting the QB sacks or Turnovers or stopping rushing yards. I think 49ers need to invest in better LB play, both in handling rushing play, but also in quick slant passing plays. 49ers needs 3 more LBs like Greenlaw/Warner. I also think with so much injuries happening to the CB/S positions, the 49ers might need another guy back there. Moody MUST make his FG/xtra point kicks, no matter how difficult! 49ERS AREN'T TRADING ANYBODY!
Deebo might not be the centerpiece of the offense, but when a first down is needed or a critical play result is required, Deebo is still the focal point for that. But now, that necessity has other players who can do the Deebo play, like McCaffery, Aiyuk, Jennings and hopefully Pearsal. This is what makes the 49ers so dangerous and difficult to defend. I hope the 49ers make it impossible for them to defend.
I get it! It’s the fit within the team. All around versatile athletes that do more than one thing. The men fit the 49ers style of play. We should all stop playing arm chair coaching; besides, we don’t sit in on their strategy session! I like these players selected once I see their overall value to the team!
I mean how many great o lineman in this league were picked later than round 2? The reason we wanted it in round 1 is that o line significantly falls off in later rounds historically.
We’ve had glaring needs at the offensive line for two years now and nothing has been done so far to address those issues. Don’t think the 9er fans are stupid. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out we need some quality tackles.
It's not always best available. Sometimes it is need. And WR was not a need, especially the caliber of the receiver. If it was Brain Thomas Jr available at 31 then I would have been fine with the pick. But Ricky Pearsall would most likely of been available with our 2nd rounder.
I liked the first few picks. One common trend is they’ve picked guys who played various years in college. That being said the O line will be fine because Purdy makes them look better than they are. But come playoffs is when we have struggled.

It may not have been the most pressing need...but it was a position that needed to be addressed and he was considered a better prospect at 31 than any of the linemen who were still available. I wish fans would stop acting like they've watched games and tape of every player in the draft to give them the knowledge to question who and when guys get drafted by a team who has spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars scouting these players...
The draft is all about best player available that fits your scheme at that draft position. There were no value OL at 31. Expect more to be drafted in the later rounds.

Wow the nfl draft has jumped the shark 3 times over! It’s freaking nauseating to watch and somehow even worse to listen to 🤮 I taped it just to watch the 49er picks but watched the beginning of the 2nd day for the hell of it. I lasted about 5 minutes. The talking heads were apparently getting paid by the word! I’ve never heard so much useless crap in my life. So I start scanning through at double speed and can’t stomach that either. I guess the nfl must pay those fans to come and make complete asses of themselves and call it entertainment ?! I wonder how many viewers had eptileptic seizures from the constant light blitz? Man, this broadcast was like a futuristic movie that warns people of what complete excess would look like if greed took over our society 😵💫

Dominick Mony is rated as average lineman with good pass blocking while he was rated poor in run blocking. He does need to be coached up in order to be good at rush blocking. Renardo Green is a dog as a corner back and with good coaching can become a star. His style of play can lead to penalties in the NFL. He has to learn how to do press coverage without drawing a flag for holding. My information comes from what the NFL network scouts are saying about the two players chosen.

Somewhere on Day 3 I’d try to draft Luke McCaffrey because you passed his brother by in one draft and ended up trading for him. Why not take the plunge on Day 3?

The picks were fine, Pearsall is solid; what I don’t get is why did they wait to move up? The 2nd round was Trade city, the Niners don’t need 3 4th rd picks, swap 63 to 40 and give them a 4th. Puni is fine for what was left, but they could have got PB the C from Oregan, Fisher from ND, Rose from Wash, they dragged their toes again.

Crap shoots apply more for QBs than linemen. Size and speed are identifiable and the fastest and strongest go first... i think 15 linemen were selected before th 49ers got the 16th. Furthermore, you talk as if Lynch/Shanahan are not capable of screwing it up. our O Line was 20th because they did not address the problem last year, and that bit the 49ers in the Superbowl. And this is the first First Round pick in four years because our geniuses wasted three 1st rounfd pick for Trey Lance. so please dont tell us we cant criticize.
Yes. I followed Dave because he was the voice of reason compared to Grant Cohn, but now his homerism has almost become comical. Anyone who's being objective knows the 49ers wanted Roger Rosengarten. Hell John Lynch spent an entire day in Huskie gear watching them and then let the Ravens pick their pocket. That was an L, plain and simple. Then in this video Dave himself catalogues the abysmal state of the OLine: McKivitz and Banks, underachievers on the final year of their contracts, Feliciano and Trent ageing out, and the rest very replaceable. Even he sees it - but smugly chastises fans with endless word salad that the Niners are playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. It's tiresome. Hopefully they can salvage things today by landing one of the top tier IOL Mahogany, Van Pryn or Tanor Bortolini.

ALL of the Offensive Linemen they drafted in previous drafts have proven to be VERY POOR at protecting the quarterback. It has taken the Front Office years (and a Super Bowl LOSS) to finally recognize (hopefully) the problem of drafting OLs who are poor at protecting the QB and good at run plays. It's about time the Front Office wakes up to the FACT that if the QB is the most important player on the field, them protecting the QB is the most important task for an OL. The Front Office got lucky with Purdy. But not even Purdy can consistently avoid being tackled by a Defensive Lineman who gets to the QB UNTOUCHED!!! Check the films from the last SB! BTW, I appreciate your videos and commentary. But I do not appreciate your protecting the Front Office and calling the fans "Spoiled" for being frustrated with the poorly performing Offensive Line. Remind us where the OL ranked with regard to the rest of the league last year. Was it 26th out of 32 teams?
