When San Francisco is throwing the football, always watch the middle of the field. Their pass game is built for the middle of the field. I think only one other quarterback had a higher percentage of total throws within the hashes, then in second place was Brock Purdy.
It’s kind of the Catch 22. A lot of bodies and presence inside but he makes a lot of tremendous throws but he will still put the ball in harm's way and give the defense a chance to make a play. How will the middle of the field look on Sunday afternoon? #nfl #sanfrancisco49ers #superbowl

I'm a Bears fan. There are Justin Fields fanboys trying to say Purdy would be as bad as Fields if he was on the Bears. Complete and butter BS. Fields couldn't even dream of having that kind of accuracy underneath and into such small windows.

You don't just drop any super athletic talented quarterback in there and it's smooth as butter. You have to be a quick processor. Quick decisions be able to read the whole field accurate. Not just about running around. Kyle doesn't want people just running around. He wants people to execute his plays to a t

Forget accuracy. JF can't read a defense, get through progressions, execute a play, or manage down n distance n game situation. All he does is grip n rip or scramble.

@@spinmyhead1667 that's just another bad take like all the others who claim all of these mediocre QBs would be the same or better. I've heard it about Mac Jones and Zach Wilson as well. Fields is more like Trey Lance, and we saw how that worked out. What they don't have is the fast processing Purdy has. Being able to read the defense, recognize where the open receiver will be, and finding him. Those throws aren't easy but even if these other guys could make them, they don't have the CPU needed to get there.

This is why the talking heads on TV are not worth watching. When Purdy has a game with an INT or two, they say he is trash; he's terrible. They never talk about how the offense is thriving on these high-risk throws. When you live on the edge taking risky throws, you're going to get into trouble sometimes, and that's life. High Risk, high reward, and sometimes major consequences.

Still missing a lot of context. Like 4:54 here Purdy’s hand was tipped and he has to step up a second too soon because his right tackle is about to step on his legs again. (Bottom ranked pass blocking O-line).

Chiefs play a lot of zone just like the Cowboys and Phily did. People are underestimating the 49ers I think. 49ers have a harder time with man coverage.

KC can tip a ball if he's throwing down the middle. They are good at that. I predict that will decide the game.

Diehard 49ers fan since 1983. I’ve seen enough. Drew Brees mentioned similarities. Brock needs a Sean Peyton/Drew Brees offense. As mentioned by the qb school, Kyle’s passing concepts are blah, not liked. Brock only has one real wr going out on plays. His offensive line is horrific, in a passing league.

I think Spags is gonna come with some crazy different looks and pressures and make Purdy throw outside the numbers a lot and to throw the under a and have his players all getting to the football. Think KC beats up on San Fran

@@travisoshea I think its odd that people just forget how dominate and efficient SFs offense has been all year, and how pedestrian KC has looked, especially on offense, with a lack of weapons for Mahomes. Theres a reason the niners are favored.

What Spags has done over just the past 8 quarters has been better than great and what Andy is doing with his 3x1 and 4x1 looks gets defenders on conflicts. I personally do not think Wilks will have a gameplan for this nor will he be able to adjust to it.

Here’s what’s kind of ridiculous. Everyone said, “Jimmy Garropolo can’t throw outside the numbers!” It’s BS because that’s what Shanahan and the 49ers do - throw between the hashes. If you go watch Jimmy in his combine he can throw outside well. I’m not saying Jimmy’s a “great quarterback” as he throws a lot of stupid interceptions. Jimmy might very well be out of the league in 2024 and I won’t be surprised if he is. But how about this: know what you’re talking about or just shut the f-k up. I’m tired of it.

I say Purdy will throw for a record superbowl low QBR.There isnt an NFC team deserving of a superbowl.If niners are the best NFC team,they dont rate in the top 3 teams in the league,who all play iin the AFC

This was the best team in the NFC all season, meanwhile the Chiefs backed their way into the Super Bowl on bad mistakes by the Ravens, a fraud Dolphins that can't play in the cold and the always losing in the playoffs Josh Allen.

Amazing how everyone is all on KC jock strap these past 2 weeks. Why not point out a few of Mahomes 14 INT's in your breakdown? These talking heads are laughable - all one sided.

This is almost like the way they pump up Cowboys fans before they play the 49ers. I'm seeing comments from KC fans who watch these breakdowns and think it will be a blowout. They have them thinking their defense is like the 2000 Ravens just because they stopped the 2023 Ravens offense. Meanwhile they're completely ignoring how bad their offense has looked this season and pretending they're not playing a top defense in the Super Bowl.

Brock also has to watch his throw trajectory as defenders have been batting down or tipping a good number of his passes. Has he solved for that vulnerability? Defenses seem to be exploiting that of late.
