4am Seoul diaries 🌿 my new roommate + morning routine 🎐 finding calm amid chaos 

hi friends 🤍 how has your week been? I had a very different video planned for this week, but all my plans were out the window by Monday afternoon. recipe for the oatmeal bake: www.forksoverknives.com/recipes/vegan-breakfast/oatmeal-breakfast-bake-with-berries-and-almonds/ Juno: she was found outside someone’s door on Sunday morning, abandoned by someone who knew this person vaguely through classes. the person left no information and blocked the person who found Juno. the person who found Juno did the very best they could for her for the day she was with them, and posted online in the evening saying she couldn’t care for Juno long-term and was looking for her forever home. I reached out and Juno is now with me. the person who bought Juno bought her from a petshop alley in Seoul, which is notorious for being a terrible place. apparently this person bought Juno a few weeks ago and was told she was around 2-3 months old at that time. Juno is very underweight and small for her age, and has obviously not been receiving the proper care. thankfully, a test for parasites, etc. showed she was healthy, and I will be doing a test for common bird viruses later, when she’s had time to settle and overcome the stress of this past month. she has probably been weaned far too early, so I will be feeding her formula twice a day as well as her pellets, fruits and veggies until she’s a little older and gained some healthy weight. as she has likely been very deprived of the protein she needs, her feathers are in poor condition and have broken easily as she’s been throwing herself around the cage. thankfully I’ve seen no signs of stress and she appears to be very happy, grinding her beak, bathing, eating and drinking well, and playing with her toys with a good sleep schedule. the cage I’ve moved her into now is still a bit small, but as she’s so tiny it work for now until I’ve had time to reorganise my house on a bit of a deeper level. she is the sweetest little thing and I’ve grown very attached to her already. I hope that anyone who considers taking on a parrot can do so with the proper research and preparations. these birds are wonderfully intelligent and require a lot of care. they should never be bought on a whim from a pet shop simply because they are cute. if you have any further questions, please let me know. I'm so glad you were able to take her in. So many people think parrots are just cute pets, not realizing that they're basically a lifelong commitment to taking care of a forever toddler 😢

Juno is adorable and conures are great companions. Really cool that your parents had African Greys and Cockatoos as well! My parents have had an African Grey since I was born and he's still going strong 😄 Well done for giving Juno a forever home.

Juno is so beautiful and I'm glad you rescued her, she seems comfortable in your neck)) Luna and Moose have a surprised look but will get used to the new changes I believe, I love the colors of the roses you picked and the natural scents you are using in your home. Ahhhh…..love this eps all about Juno❤. I adopted two kittens two years ago, same as you I have to let go all my fav fragrant in my house, some plants are toxic for cats I have to let go and all the dangerous decoration. Although life has changed because our little friends, but the happiness animals given is priceless, they add so much values into our life😊 Luna, Moose & Juno are lucky to have you ❤
