In progress. They are behind due to COVID, but making great time now that the structural steel has topped out, work on the fins has begun, glass cladding continues, and demolition of the garage is ongoing...
When will Boston stop languishing as a tier 2 city?! Prior to 9/11 there were plans for several +70 story buildings along the waterfront. They were canceled because of insurance complications following the terrorist attacks. Well that dreadful day is well in the rear view window, so why aren't we truly scraping the skies in Boston?! Get going!
70+ stories along the waterfront??? I doubt that. Maybe proposed, but never approved. It's not terrorism - it's Logan Airport. No way we could 70+ story buildings on the waterfront. Besides who would even want them?? A city isn't great because of a towering skyline. It's how well you live and how well it looks/functions at ground level that counts. The very reason Boston stands out as such a nice city is that it is not a series of dark and windy tunnels.
