Thanks you for this video it was a great example of the workflow. I have 1 question. I'm still unsure about where you initially got the worksets from. You mentioned you imported them into Navis but from where? Did you manually create these sets in a different software?
Glad the video helped. We asked our experts, here's what they said: The data set is one that we took from Autodesk. It was originally created in Revit and then brought in to Navisworks. Selection Sets were created by extracting Revit Instance ID’s from Assemble and casting them in .xml script for import to Navisworks.
can you make a parameter in revit, use for schedule the time line, including the exporting FBX model or work sets number or name, then soon when you get the schedule, you can arrange the phase in twinmotion easier?
We talked with our experts and they said you can create a parameter that helps to capture a view for export within the project browser. Create the parameters in Revit first, then assign the parameters to the objects. Then create a schedule for those parameters and export that to an datasmith file you could then import into Twinmotion. If you use Navisworks to do the export, use a NWC. Once imported, you’d need to open the phasing group panel. You can use the information from the schedule - which includes the phase parameter you created - to organize and arrange the phases in Twinmotion according to your project requirements.
