May i know when do you buy the ticket to hatyai from padang besar? Can you share the link pls cause i dont see it on the ktmb website😅 thank you very much
Hotel may be little costlier, food about same in both night markets. Mall, floating market. Pretty standard Bangkok stuff at fractional prices. We are retired ‘locals’ from USA. Will take a train to Hatyai tomorrow. Good ideas.
Hi, unfortunately I did not manage to record the process of going back from Hatyai to Penang but the steps are similar to going from Penang to Hatyai, just in reverse. 1. Purchase the train ticket at Hatyai Train Station for 50 baht to Padang Besar. 2. Onboard the train from Hatyai to Padang Besar (50mins train ride). 3. Reached Padang Besar and line up to go through the customs. ***reminder to keep the form/white card you have filled up when you're going through the customs to Thailand on the first day properly because you will need it again in when going through the customs when leaving Thailand. 4. After customs clearance, purchase KTM train ticket from Padang Besar to Bukit Mertajam, Penang for RM10.70. 5. Onboard the KTM train from Padang Besar to Bukit Mertajam (1hr 40mins train ride). 6. Reached Penang. Hope it helps for your upcoming trip to Hatyai!
Hi, you can refer to my video at 14:27 for the location to rent the tuktuk. It was also my first time there so I also have a hard time finding for the tuktuk so I did not pre book for it. I just walk around the park and see any tuktuk available for the next ride to the peak. And if I'm not mistaken, I only saw 1 tuktuk that is operating on that day.
Hi there 👋🏻 most of the places we visited during our trip were walking distances from our hotel unless it is very far then we will use Grab. Hope it helps ;)
We used Grab to go to the floating market and so sorry I couldn't recall the price. You can also opt for tuktuk and I think there will be some tuktuk stationed there if you need a ride back to town or you can also order Grab.
Hi! In your opinion which night market was better? Lee garden/asean or greenway night market? Have very limited time there so gotta choose wisely hehe. Im staying near lee gardens.
Hi, in my opinion, since you're staying near lee garden then it will be much more convenient for you to visit Lee Garden night market. Lee Garden is more on food but if you're looking to shop for clothes etc then it is recommended to visit Greenway or Asean Night Bazaar. For me, between Greenway and Asean night market, I personally prefer Greenway because the clothes and stuff they sell there are much more suitable for younger crowd. Hope it helps ;)
It is advisable to depart from KTM Bukit Mertajam earlier because it will take 1hr 40mins to reach Padang Besar and then you will need to buy the train tickets to Hatyai at KTM Padang Besar (do take note that the train ticket counter to buy the train tickets to go Hatyai is only open at 9am (MYT)) to catch the 9.55am train to Hatyai.
Any alternative to enter hatyai if I miss the komuter time? Can I buy the ticket in advance? Which platform / app to book? Can we take the bus to enter the hatyai frm pdg Besar? Thanks for your assistance
@@Ms_Neo Nope.. its perfect . see it more than once OR paused . I lived in Perda, just near the Bukit Mertajam KTM station. Subscribed . I loved Hat Yai.. been there since 1979 : haha...
We took the 9.55am (Malaysian time) to Hatyai from Padang Besar KTM station. But it depends on the train schedule because during that time when we visit Hatyai, there's only 2 trains available to go Hatyai from Padang Besar so we took the earliest train at 9.55am and the other train is during the afternoon at 4.40pm.
