Chase m I think it's the Lancer GTS 4B12. The Pistons and rods are a direct swap from the Srt4 to the Lancer GTS. The 4b11 is smaller than the 4b12

I know allot of the engineering behind engines but compared to this guy damn I'm a rookie, I love when someone uses their brain to do something better faster cooler uniqer etc... sweet vid. best line ever "if we don't try new things well never improve" that doesn't just apply to cars, good philosophy

This reminds me!!! ...used to do it to my oval window 1953 vw bug engines pistons, learned about it from a nascar guy... it had a 400 cid small block chevy, it worked great! ...aluminum 53cc heads from the iroc...made 12.5 compression! solid engle cam, 750hp all day long! ...fun little car! trans braked 2 speed powerglide with 4300 RPM stall, ford 9 inch with solid spool and 5.13 gears in the back! ...and ofcourse a roll cage!!! The car was a terror in the early to mid 90s ...at LA's street racing scenes! I think I popped a few wheelies at bradford street, under the bridge! How fun were those days!

I wish all but (if not more) of the shops in the Philippines are similar to this shop. Not only in the car builds and knowledge, but more on the customer long term relationship and honesty specially when it comes to the labor price and parts

As a subi enthusiast this makes me appreciate the time and creativity it took for the 4g63 to get to the point where you can make allot of power easily same with the ls based engines, guys like this put in the work and break parts to get safe hi power levels, we need guys like him for the subaru community xD

The intake manifold on the 2.4l Kia will bolt up to a 7 bolt 4g63 as well for dsm people that want to go rwd cheap. Best way to not be screwed by a shop is just man up an learn yourself, do tons of research and you'll thank yourself after

wow.. great job in educating ur customers/frens in doing everything right from the get go man.. And i envy that u guys have a lot of love from ur customers. I always used to tell my customer to stop supporting shops for the sake of their name.. Go with the shop that would and most importantly could support their build etc (having knowledge n and actually knows what their talking instead of just repeating what they normally hearsay.. hear & say). I also used to always tell them "we dont only sell parts on their own... we have the know-how of consulting u with parts that works together in real life instead of turning into a 1/2 half piece of crap.

Makes me so happy hearing about the G4JS so many people hear Kia and automatically diss on it but in all reality they're potential is incredible. After I get done 2.1 destroker long rod build in my 2g eclipse I plan on buying a 2g eclipse gs/rs and doing a full G4JS swap just not sure if I'm going to want another destroker setup or not realy been thinking about a 2.2 long rod destroker

Rogelio Chavarin If you're looking for bone stock you might have some trouble, but I picked up an 05 SSL with 85k for a great price almost 2 years ago now that only had an intake and coil packs. Stock exhaust and the ugly chrome tails still too. Took it to get a quote for a clutch install from a local shop and the shop owner knew the guy I bought it from and has been around the car for 5 years before I bought it and he had nothing but good things to say about it and previous owner. I was pretty happy hearing that lol, you never know what these cars have gone through.

Surprised he didn't slightly dome the piston for the race car. I use the flat top 12:1 87mm Wiseco's for now. Winds up around 10:1 compression because the chambers are huge in the G4JS Kia head, just bolting it on causes a 2.2 point loss in compression over a 4g63 headed setup.

rushking19 If you use a G4JS completely you have to use a Kia timing belt, modified accessories and cam gears, not worth the hassle. The stock 2.4 crank isn't desirable due to RPM limitations before you start beating up bearings and cylinder walls. I only was surprised because of the piston's flat top and it's resulting compression but he mentioned he was making the domed piston so I'm excited to see what it does with that piston.

OMG I wish I would've found you guys earlier. I've been looking for a shop for my DSM for almost a year. I've been burned by shop a particular shop in Kalamazoo. Ever since then I've been doing everything kind of on my own. What I've learned is it's much cheaper to just bring it to the professionals that work on the platform instead of having multiple ppl work on the car. I was new to the whole modifying scene so I overspent on a lot of things. Out of all my searching for shops, you guys never came up. I'm in Romulus and I'm glad you guys are so close. I just knew I was going to have to trailer the car to Ohio or Illinois to get work done. I most definitely will be giving you guys a call.

I live in Puerto Rico and i heard that Kia, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi actually have interchangable or similar parts. of course i'm talking about the modern Kia's and Hyundai's. Not the Kia/Ford lol

Pay Dro Hyundai /kia worked with Mitsubishi ,they had 4g63 in some Hyundais in the 90's and Hyundai early 2000 motors was Hyundai motors losely based off Mitsubishi motors but they changed a lot of parts, I own a Hyundai tiburon so I know the v6 in my car is based off the 6g 2.5l single Cam v6 ,but Hyundai made it a all aluminum block instead of cast iron like Mitsubishi and Hyundai made the heads dohc on the motor and then later bored it over to 2.7l for my car, and the 4 cylinder is based off the 4g63 but the heads flow less and bolt patterns are slightly different you can bolt a evo 8 -9 header on it just by making some of the bolt holes bigger

sorry couldn't help but scratch my head when i heard this part...@ 10:55 he says... "These are 2000cc apiece... So we got 8000cc of Injector.. Ya know!? All depends on your skill set and money and time... I'd say either boost it or do a DOHC swap or both.... as far as boosting the sohc the turbo manifold off a evo 8 bolts up with out issue and the engine will take quite a bit of boost before needed to set swap internals

So I have a question for you. I have the opportunity to trade my 2006 wrx (with a sti swap in it) for a evo 9 (which needs some work that I'm willing to do). I'm just wondering if it is worth it to trade my wrx for this evo? Even though I really like my wrx. I have always liked evo's and am wondering if this would be a good choice. Thanks!

I appreciate like. Everything. But bro. If your stroking motors you should know a MOTOR has WINDINGS.... like an ALTERNATOR. An ENGINE, has pistons, and performs an OTTO Combustion cycle. Please LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MOTOR AND AN ENGINE. Otherwise, thanks for knowing way more about stroking motors than me. O wait. I mean ENGINES.
