These narrow, crowded streets that are free of traffic are to my mind the perfect urban spaces to shop or just to wander through enjoying the sights and sound - even in the rain!
On those far off summer days when everything's silent but for the crickets chirping their nostalgic ballads, my mind wanders back through the streets of Japan.
My ex was from Osaka, and it's my favorite city in Japan. Thought I lived in Tokyo for 4 years, we visited Osaka quite regularly. So many familiar sights. I miss Japan
Wow! It's like I'm there! So amazing. Thank you so much for this stunning footage. The image quality is perfect. How is Japan so beautiful?! Even their urban centers are a work of art. I feel like I've actually set foot in Japan. Technology is blowing my mind right now. You are an excellent camera person. Thank you so much for taking the time to film and upload this HD video.
Anyone else in the post-pandemic world come to watch this video to see a more lively and crowded pre-pandemic life? I miss Japan terribly, but it sure won't be the same once we get to visit again.
Incredible. The rain plus all the Japanese stores = Bladerunner in real life. I hope the Japanese tourist board are paying you , because you are doing an incredible job. Love from the 🇬🇧 UK !
O-SA-KA!!!! O-SA-KA!!! O-SA-KA!!! my favourite city in Japan the people alone makes this city already a must see, they open minded , heartful, and nice, and have much humor
Thanks again for your wet rain work, Rambalac! Going out in all types of weather, night and day, all year really makes your channel hard to beat! It's as good as living in there!
the ice cream is prepared by the guy without gloves and then the guy with the gloves gives it to you, two geniuses. It's raining, but the fun doesn't stop, fantastic! I love Osaka
8:55 has visited that Ramen restaurant (with the words 金久右衛門 on the right hand side) in 2016. I and my wife are originally from Hong Kong (so look exactly Chinese), has actually been living in UK for over 10 years. Cannot speak Japanese and only a little Madarin ... The very polite waitress greeted us with Japanese, immediately asked in Mandarin if we like thick or thin noodles, which took us a bit of time to figure out what she meant... I think in the end we used our very limited Mandarin to finish the order, since it seems a bit odd to suddenly switch to English. A bit of an embarassment, but all turns to great memory of our visit to Osaka. Thanks so much Rambalac for bringing this back to us!
I applaud your commitment to your "no talking" rule, but you totally just ignored those Japanese ladies trying to talk to you lol😂 Hope they don't think you were being rude.
@@Rambalac Should carry around business cards that shows your youtube channel. For anyone who asks In future. Quick hand off and doesn't Impact the video.
Ah! I love this one! I didn’t know about the shopping streets leading to Dotonbori! Also, the Osaka people seem so much more laud back and stylish. I’d love to spend some time there when I go again. Also, the night time rain made this one so much more charming. Thanks for the video!
No other city is closer to my heart than Osaka! So many memories in Dotonbori on nights like this with good friends. I haven’t been back for nearly 8 long years, I really do miss it. Thank you for sharing this with us! Dotonbori really doesn’t change! :)
I come from Hong Kong and I travel there few days ago but luckily on that day was sunny. It is full of glamor and let me feel the energy of this city ,such a nice place👍🏻👍🏻
i ve been playing a series of Playstation games called Yakuza. there is a particular area that is identical to this Dotonbori. Truly fascinating detail. I enjoy all your videos. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanxs for these video's. Going to japan in march 2020, first time going alone outside of europe. These video's let me see i have nothing to worry about finding the route. Will be watching all of your video's! And subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for this video!! I'll be attending a summer intensive language program at a university near Osaka and this will be my first time going to Japan! I can't wait to visit this beautiful city in three weeks!
@@plopolp9818"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Tour boats on drizzle off the shoulder of Gliko Runner. I watched piss-arches glitter in the dark near the Dotonbori Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like piss in rain. Time to toriyaki."
Night of the river scenery is absolutely stunning. Osakans are very warm hearted people,a great place worth visiting.Tks for ur great effort for this amazing video.👍😰☔☔☔💧💧💧
If you play one of the various rainy blade runner soundtracks on YT with this, it's like you're in a real world blade runner. Awesome with 4K 60p GH5 as well, like I'm really there walking the streets in the rain.
56:32 one of the best places in this video, that's the true spirit of Japan, those bamboo and wooden doors and paper windows, this warm light from those street lighters.
I’ve been watching your videos all day! So interesting! So relaxing! I like that you provide a link to some of your walks on a map as well! Thank you! Subscribed! ;-)
Love your video as always! I always put them on the TV when studying Japanese. It was interesting how the guy at 28:00 started talking to you in English? I hear they sometimes will do that to speak/practice their English, even if you're speaking fluent Japanese back xD Kinda cute. Thanks for another awesome video!
I really love the whole video, as always :D, but especially the part when you ordered a matchia ice cream, I love those little conversations :) Guys! Has anyone noticed that guy with red sweatshirt in 45:13 have a artficial leg? Poor guy, but this leg looks quite nice and very expensive at the same time
You could have not even told me where this is and the girls waving to the camera and saying hi tell me immediately that it's Osaka. People were pretty forward and friendly when I visited. Fun place!
When did they build the boardwalk and make it actually nice looking?? Don’t get me wrong.... it was always a great party till the first train type of place...
This reminds me of Yakuza 2 or Yakuza Kiwami 2, suggoi! Yappari, walking in the rain there is the best sensation isn't it? You can see the river sprinkles of rain drops. And I think because of the rain you can walk a little ease on river side right? Because every body is covering from the rain. I wanna go there!! 😖 Thanks again for the video Rambalac-san.
He deserves the most likes.... Because he puts his butt of walking about 1 hour for every video.....your the best man!!!!!!!!! ....your videos make me feel that I am there
