4K・【4K】Shimokitazawa walk and Hachiman shrine festival

Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
I found some news about Kitazawa Hachiman festival and went there to look what is it about. Also usually I came to Shimokitazawa only for AwaOdori when it's very crowded, so this time I could walk around without crowds.

Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens, Beholder EC1 stabilizer and Audio-Technica AT9946CM mic.

For those who don't know, this area along with Koenji and Kichijoji are like the modest indie "hipster" areas of Tokyo. The flashier rich kid fashionista/edgy shops and people Tokyo is known for can be found in the Harajuku, Omotesando, and Shibuya area.

I was surprised @1:03:20 when you passed up the green tea drink you usually buy! It's almost like a ritual that all your viewers expect! 😀 😀 😀 I wasn't sure whether to laugh when the portable shrine was paraded in front of ... the McDonald's. I think it's one of the best ones to live in Tokyo for a single person in their 20s-40s. A bit pricey but not crazy expensive, a ton of independent shops, places to eat, and bars all over, good size crowd but not so busy that it makes you miserable, and it's in a very convenient location to access some other great areas very quickly.

It's an ancient religious celebration of the Deity or God Hachiman, which is seen as the protector of Japan.

Maybe it's just me. Cuz of all the shopping kiosk that you'be passed through, Dr. Martens was the only shop that you and peeked and stayed for awhile with your camera so I assumed that ur interested imf some of the items, nevermind. I'm just making all that in my head. By the way, you seem to stop at some points. Do u look for directions through your phone or just decide where to head there and then? Or u have a planned route already? Anyways, Great video as always!
